This is playing so good for me now that the fielding issues are few and far between. I've been able to find my strikeouts on Legend meter pitching consistently with a couple of slider tweaks - I really prefer that over tweaking HOF to be tougher because the Legend meter is quite a bit harder to get perfect accuracy on. That was really the only part of the game I was having issues with, and while it likely wasn't anything that was adjusted in this patch, I've had enough time with the game now to experiment and figure it out.
....38, btw. Feels like I should get off most of you guys' lawns.

Not sure if anyone else is seeing problems with fielding again.
the problems im having are:
1) liners to the outfield that bounce in front of the fielder, the fielder does not bring his glove out to catch the ball after the bounce.
2) slow bloopers that land right behind a infielder causing the infielder to freeze allowing the blooper to actually drop for a base hit.Toronto Blue Jays

My game playing GREAT after the latest patch.
No issues fielding, and I feel like the frame rate is much better than it was in the patches prior to this.
Maybe a placebo effect, but it seems way better, and this is allowing me better timing in my hitting.
I have kept everything the same, including my silders, and the game is more responsive and the fielding is great for me.
I would still like some attention to be paid to the Pure Analog Throwing, as there are some issues to be worked out there. I want so badly to turn that meter back on, but errors for no reason just does not make sense to me, with the rest of the game now running so smoothly.
Thank you to SDS for addressing the outfielder animations. I am really enjoying my time with the game now.
Oh, 50 year old here. Been playing since the Atari/Intellivision debut. For those who are in the same genre, I have all of my Intellevision games still, with all the instruction books (remember when those came with the game?) AND... AND... ALL of the slide-in overlay cards that went in the controllers and covered the input pad. I have fired it up recently, and with the adapter from the cable input to the TV/two prong attachment, the game still runs perfectly.
For the young guys complaining about MLBTS's grass color, the angle of the sun in a 7pm August game, and the bullpen chairs being the wrong color... look up the Intellevision Baseball gameplay videos on YouTube, and see the baseball game we had in the 70's and early 80's. Those graphics were sick!!

1998 file - playing with Manny Ramirez on RF really is an adventure...and should be for all the right reasons. Lest we forget, "Manny being Manny". Game feels much smoother now.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Yeah it looks like whatever they did broke auto base running. It was really good befor this latest patch now it feels like it went back to last year. Way too conservative. Guys are not even going for second on balls that go back to the screen.

Does the base running speed slider have any bearing on this? I noticed pre-last update that on 5, guys we’re making stupid decisions and getting thrown out at an unrealistic clip. When I lowered to 4 it was perfect. I’m just wondering??...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

you know I did the same exact thing. guys were getting thrown out at second easily on a base hit where the runner was gonna score and they cut of the throw to the plate. I had the slider at 5 and dropped it to 4 just like you did and it looked fine. The patch then went through and now it plays like last year with guys either going back to their base or just frozen waiting for the ball to drop.Comment

Yep older than dirt.73 here can't hit the field these days but this beautiful game keeps me passionate about baseball the game I love. Lots of great memories of when I was a young ballplayer.

Well, yeah this happened. So much for anything actually being fixed. I am so tired of this crap from SDS.
'20 has the potential to be a fantastic game. I love everything about it except for this broken fielding crap. Until this is fixed for real I just can't play this anymore. This was a walk off loss in the 9th. Over an hour of my life wasted playing to loose like this?! Really just unacceptable.
