Opposing Pitchers hitting

For All my national league franchise people, Have you noticed that this year it has been much tougher to get out opposing pitchers hitting? I swear they must be hitting over .300 against me . Im on dynamic pitching so it usually goes back and forth between all-star and hall of fame



Anyone else agree?

First MLB the show since '09 and just past the all star break in my save. To be fair my dynamic only has me as Vet for hitting the Vet+ for pitching, but I can pretty reliably get pitchers out. For me the problem with Pitcher ABs are making sure I don't yellow the throw to first...

I was almost going to post this thread. Johnny Cueto just broke up a no hitter in the 6th with a perfect perfect double. Pitchers are either getting hits or working really good ABs much more often than usual.

I agree 100% and was just thinking about posting the other day.

I started pitching them away more and that seems to help some. I was allowing so many opposite field bloopers when i went with inside fastballs.

Since they have pretty much eliminated bunting as an option (even in MoM), they may as well give us the option for universal DH.

You do have the option for universal DH in franchise mode. You can set the option prior to starting a new franchise

If you don’t steal, it’s a double play every time. If they miss the bunt, you’re runner is probably out.

This was a major problem for me as well, one thing that I have been doing that seems to be working is make sure that I use directional hitting and I am pointing down, and I release Triangle just before the ball hits the bat, its tough at first, but I am getting a lot fewer double plays than before.

We're talking about manage only. We don't control the batter or pitcher. It's all AI. All we can do is call for strategies.

Interesting. Half of the time I play MOM and I’m not seeing a “double play every time”. How is your runner out when you miss a bunt. I’ve missed bunts and the runner doesn’t try to advance.

Either a double play or a force.


If you try to steal along with the bunt, the bunt is either missed which results in the runner thrown out or one of the other results, a foul bunt or a pop up.


That's why I say bunts are no longer an option. Even batters rated over 90 on bunts can't do one successfully. This goes for both teams.

I actually did the math and the opposing pitchers are hitting .337 against me in my franchise, through 44 games. including 4rbi and a HR by Steven Brault. Call me crazy but that doesnt seem realistic.
