Was 40 Man Auto-filling Ever Fixed in Patch
In previous versions, you could only put 25 on the 40 man and it would keep the CPU from promoting/demoting at the end of Spring Training. With this newest version, you could no longer do it because the AI would auto-fill 40 players on the 40 man. Was that ever fixed in a patch?Tags: None -

Just tested it for you. ROSTER CONTROL ON for all 30 teams using my 25 man roster. Went to ST and there were 40 players. So, unfortunately....no. -

I’ll never understand the removal of season mode and now this. It makes the game unplayable for someone like me who only cares about playing the current MLB season.Comment

Re: Was 40 Man Auto-filling Ever Fixed in Patch
It makes a lot of work now that’s for sure. It also means the guys who make the rosters have no need to put together the 25 man rosters like they used to as it’s just going to revert to 40 as soon as you go to ST. I don’t understand the logic. The change simply wasn’t needed.Comment

Re: Was 40 Man Auto-filling Ever Fixed in Patch
yea i was talking to someone about this it seems this was done i dont want to say on pupose but this isnt consider a bug or a glitch. so my question then is how can we fix it so we dont have this problem when we sim the spring training. i dont care for the lineups i just dont want the auto call up and call downs. especially for my controlled teamComment

Well, I think it is a bug (maybe) because after you adjust all the teams rosters back to 25 men (well 26 now) it won't do any callups/send downs on its own.Comment

Re: Was 40 Man Auto-filling Ever Fixed in Patch
Doesn't the 25 man roster (prior to spring training) only work if you have ROSTER CONTROL ON. Meaning you control all 30 teams. I think that was the original purpose of the 25 man fix that the guys who made the rosters did after release of the regular OS roster. If you don't have it on I think the AI is going to adjust the lineups to 40 when you start ST. ROSTER CONTROL ON stopped that. ALL teams would stay at 25 men thru ST and to the start of the season. I'm not sure I understand when you say the game is calling up and sending down players on a team you control. It shouldn't do that.

Yes, but it’s the only way I know of in 2020 to stop the game from taking a 25 man roster at the onset of a franchise to stop it from giving all teams 40 players at the beginning of ST. Worked last year, not this year.Comment

Re: Was 40 Man Auto-filling Ever Fixed in Patch
This is one big thing I’m not happy about. Especially those who works on rosters, lineup and rotations set. No matter what you lose them the moment you start franchise. I only use 26 man roster so when I get in the previous versions, skipping spring training and all the lineup/rotations stays intact. Now the work on 30 teams gotta be redone everytime I start a franchise especially for sim test. So frustrating!
