You’ve got more patience than me. My Orioles rebuild from ‘19 contained the following highlights:

- Chris Davis playing just well enough to not retire early
- Mountcastle and Yusniel Diaz both fizzling out in AAA
- Luis Ortiz being struck by a line drive that fractured his skull and ended his career

Surprised. My Os rebuild did well last year. First year we lost in wild card game to Boston. Second season we loaded up at deadline and won the WS. Mark Trumbo had killer power last year, one of those sneaky guys with a great stance and quality power. DJ Stewarts rating did go up quite a bit as well. They were a lot better last year on the game.

So I started a Rockies franchise. Going to do the rebuild and trade Arenado. Give it a couple season and then set up AN Orioles franchise next.

I quick manage every game for every team and play the Angels games. After the Tigers started out 10-35 I decided to take their rebuild on as a side project. I cut a bunch of their garbage veterans and traded J.Schoop to the Astros who lost J.Altuve for the season. They are up to 12-37 but their roster is terrible and Miggys contract is a killer. Baltimore actually started out good. They were in second place in the ALE thru April but have started to slide back. Their roster isn't great either. Don't think you can go wrong with either in terms of a challenge but the uni's and ballpark in Baltimore are hard to beat.

Detroit has a more promising short-term future, as they have several starting pitchers on the verge or breaking through. Miggy’s quest to 500 would be very fun.

Camden Yards is beautiful, but as a Royals fan, I have always enjoyed the multiple times per season when KC plays at Comerica Park. It’s a beautiful park, and now they have the Chevrolet and GM logos in the game. Also, picking DET over BAL would help you avoid rebuilding the brutally tough AL East!

The Rockies are a tough team to use. Coors field is definitely not a fun place to pitch.

I’ll go with Tigers just because of those great classic uniforms and u got Casey Mize to build your staff plus they got most young players scan into game which is surprising since they had a 47-114 games last year. Also Comerica Park is a pitchers Park so that is better than playing in Camden Yards.

I attempted an Orioles rebuild in ‘19 and still have nightmares about it. I think the 2019 Orioles is the worst roster of all time in an MLB the Show game.

That being said, the Orioles and Tigers similar in many ways. Both are a few years away from competing and both are hamstrung by albatross contracts given to over-the-hill first basemen. Take a look at the farm systems and go with whichever one has more attractive prospects in your eyes.

Like a previous poster said, Detroit has some nice arms. Mize, Skubal, Matt Manning are the makings of a solid future rotation. Not much in the way of impact bats.

Orioles have a beast in Rutschman who is probably good enough to make the majors in 2020. They have some decent arms (DL Hall, Grayson Rodriguez) but are probably a couple years away.

I started a brand new, every pitch, 162, rollover franchise with the Orioles last week. I grew up in Reisterstown, MD, and southern Cali. O’s are my MLB team. Anyway, I used the “Infinity Gauntlet” with Ridin’s 2.5 roster prior to starting my franchise . Only way to go if you want to use the O’s. Basically, my squad is equivalent to that of the Braves or Brewers. We can contend, but we have holes. My own universe.

Rebuilding the O’s from scratch in 2020 is torture if you’re looking to run a long term carry over franchise.

my heart say's Baltimore, my gut say's the Orioles.

let's play it safe and compromise, pick Charm City and let the Motor City hitch a ride back to Canada. besides, everyone knows a Tiger cant change his stripes and and the orange bird of happiness calls Maryland 'home' for a reason.
