Digital copy of The Show 20
I think my PS4 Pro may be on its last leg. If i have to replace it, am I able to download
it again from the store?Tags: None -
Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
As long as you'll still have access to the account that purchased it, absolutely.
If you do replace it, you might want to read up on deactivating your PS4 just before getting rid of it. That'll let you set up the new one as your primary console a lot easier (though you'd still be able to download/play your game either way.)Comment

Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
Yeah, as the others said, it should be no problem. Just use the same PSN account. I had never bought a game digitally prior to last year, but I've deleted and re-downloaded a couple now, with no trouble. Same PS4, though.
I plan to download them onto my PS5 when I get it. At this point, I'd say I'm 95% unlikely to buy next year's version of The Show, and will just keep playing this one.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Thanks guys (good group here). I see the PS5 is scheduled for October. Will keep my fingers crossed as I’ll definitely be picking it up.Comment

Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
I think I am going to skip MLB The Show 21. They only make little tweaks and a lot of the issues this game has are still around for years. I am hoping MLB 22 has a new engine, player models and just a new way of playing this game.Yeah, as the others said, it should be no problem. Just use the same PSN account. Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
I had disc read errors with my PS2 and my first PS3 like that. I sent both away to be fixed, and eventually learned how to fix the PS2 myself, which was useful because it kept breaking in the same way before eventually giving out. After the second time I sent the PS3 away, they refused to fix it again, due to not supporting the original model any longer. I had to buy a new one (at this point 2010), but its never had the same issue after ten years! No trouble with my PS4 almost seven years in, thankfully.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
Your main questions have been answered already, but I'll add to them. I have a second home with a second PS4, so I've been downloading games on both of them for years. The digital games your have purchased are tied to you by your account, not the console you're playing on. The games are located in the Store. Where the price normally is, it will say Already Purchased (or something like that). So you can simply download them to the new console, along with system and game updates.
However, your game saves will need to be saved to the cloud or thumb drive, since they reside on your machine only. I upload/download from the cloud when I move back and forth, so I have the latest game saves.
One other nuance, for this game, that was weird. For some reason, my MtO saves are tied to the console I started them on. Even though I upload/download the save files from the cloud, I get a message that the files can not be verified on the new console (or something like that). It says I can continue to play the MtO, but my progress won't provide any TA progress. So, I only play MtO on my main home console.Comment

Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
I don't expect to be able to transfer saves from the PS4 to the PS5 for most games. If we can, that would be awesome. But with the Show's ability to carry over franchises from one edition to the other, I'm hopeful that we'll be able to import them into the PS5 the same way. Fingers crossed.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: Digital copy of The Show 20
You were able to transfer your saves from the PS3 to the PS4 so I don't see you not being able to go from PS4 to PS5I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
