Honestly, I only follow sports through the sports page. I stopped watching all sports 30 years ago or so cuz I got tired of the bombardment of commercials. So I don't miss baseball in the least and it hasn't impacted how I feel about the show.

I have had MLB the show on more this year than normal during baseball season. Shoot, my wife thinks I am crazy because I am playing a Twins franchise but I will just fire up a game, set it to CPU v CPU and watch it while doing things around the house. No sports pretty much means no TV, especially in the Summer when the few shows I do watch are reruns and all NFL network is talking about is the protests.

For me though it’s made it so much more fun. I’m not worried about stats at all and I’m just playing and having fun with it. Getting my baseball fix.

Same for me too. In yrs past I would be so OCD about stats, I would spend more time, worrying about the next great roster rerate to come out and also trying to edit myself to try and fix the stat engine, that I would get burnt out, along with starting over multiple times. Not this yr, I took Ridin's I think version 2. something, and went with it and just started Spring Training after making it a 40 man roster and I havent looked back.

TBH this is the most fun I have had in many yrs with any video game, as I only play sports console games. Use to I would also follow every injury and transaction that happened on would add that into my Franchise on the exact day it happened IRL, as I was always behind on my Franchise from IRL, regardless whether Im playing MLBTS or NBA2k, and it got time consuming that would add to me getting burnt out with the game. I basically became obsessed to the point of even resimming games, and filling out lineups from real life for each game, and would even resim to make sure the right team would win, LOL.

While I would much rather have real sports back on, and our unemployment rates back to historic lows, and not added more trillions to our already way out of whack national debt load, but the 1 thing this whole ordeal has done is break me of being so OCD to the point of probably being a addiction issue, LOL, about having to have my virtual sports mirror real life to a T.
