I dont even know how someone would go about acquiring rights to players long since deceased, if they didn't have some sort of estate, like the Babe, for instance. I wonder if a persons likeness goes into public domain after a certain amount of time has passed. I wonder if someone like George Washington could be put in a video game without somebody getting compensated.

Re: An Ambitious Idea on How to Breath New Life Into Franchise
I'm hoping for a PC release since I'm in the process of transitioning to PC compatible games. PS, even PS5, can't stand up to PC's as far as what it can do. I'm not getting the PS5 since I have so few PS only games, but if those PS games come to PC, I'll jump on them in a heartbeat.Comment

No one here is talking about monetizing franchise.

If that's what it would take to get retro stadiums.. custom leagues.. a complete roster editor... I'd give them a blank check..You want free speech?

Re: An Ambitious Idea on How to Breath New Life Into Franchise
That’s a great idea, but man what a lot of work that would take even for the PS5 technology.
Instead, Maybe go back as far as whatever year the first The Show was released for the PS1 or PS2 or whichever it was?
Use each year’s own MLB schedule and have an option for teams to draft just as they did in real life every season until present or set it up where draftees are open to go to any club.Comment

Re: An Ambitious Idea on How to Breath New Life Into Franchise
I have been thinking about this for some time I've got over 400 players mainly from the fifties and sixties If they could offer my players faces All 400 of them with no name and Leave it up to the game player to pick those faces that might resemble a legendary player and add a name to that player and add Left right handed or switch hitter his height weight II see that as an opportunity to speed up Building a legend roster. Like the other creative people who have created rosters and legends I to have put in many thousands of hours over the last many years20200701_213753.jpeg20200701_221833.jpeg20200701_221643.jpeg20200613_113748.jpeg20200613_114323.jpeg20200613_112722.jpeg
