    Draft Pick Signing

Will SDS ever update the franchise engine to allow for draft picks to be signed and start playing for your team in the same season they're drafted? Guys like Craig Hansen and Brandon Finnegan have shown that it's possible to get drafted and make your MLB debut in the same season. I know the number of players who do this isn't huge but it's happened enough that it should at least be a possibility in MLBTS. I believe it has something to do with the 90 man limits on team rosters and players needing to be retired or released in order for the draft picks to take their place on the roster. But it just seems ridiculous that SDS has not made this possible yet, it sucks having to wait till the following season to get your virtual hands on your top draft pick.

I think you hit the main point: 90 man rosters leaves very little room for players who would not be in at least AA.

With injuries, you’d be forced to throw some draft picks into AA pretty early on.

I feel like maybe SDS should try to implement like a 1 or 2 man reserved roster spot for draft picks to be eligible to play the year they're drafted. It's really only 1st or 2nd round picks who would even be talent worthy of calling up in their draft year so you wouldn't need a whole lot of roster spots. Just something small SDS could do.

Not DD related so unlikely to happen.
