Sadly it’ll be a couple years before they utilize the potential...... by then a pro version will probably come out and it’s a never ending cycle lol

Sure, because they have not had any development issues or legacy problems making this game for one console. Now they are adding 2 or 3 more. I am sure that wont cause any problems at all. I also don't see them stopping PS4 copies either. I fully expect massive delays and shortages with the state of the world.

I think anybody expecting amazing things will be in for a let down (I hope I am wrong) for at least the first couple of years into the next cycle.

PC is the answer you are looking for, if you're looking to blow the lid off baseball gaming...

Just take a brief look at the modding communities for the other sports.. then picture what that could mean for baseball.. then, REALLY let your imagination run wild..

If any sports game NEEDS a PC release, its baseball. Its the only way to capture all that history and tradition.

Yeah. I think a lot of the problem with the negative way some people view a game when it's released is their own expectations were too high. It's not necessarily the player's fault though. I really don't bite on pre-release hype from the game's hype people. That is one of the things that gets people's expectations too high. As an example, take this year's "full minors" hype.

I'm more of "we'll see when we see" type of person.

Well, I’m not sure that a PS5 fixes some of the legacy game play issues. I’m expecting the game to look great (greater), but the team needs to fix some of the irritating things that they’ve been unable to so far on the PS4.

This is a great game and am looking forward to it, so we’ll see.

The graphics need to really get better. I feel like they're not that good for PS4 standards and here we are going to PS5.

I expect to enjoy really good baseball but as for being blown away or overwhelmed, I'm like Han Solo: ‘‘I don't know. I can imagine quite a bit.’’

yeah but the problem is all they will do is port it over to PC and never use the true capable potential of it (if they even have a PC version)

I'm thinking more of mods. With modders around, the need to ask the developer for something is greatly reduced.

I really can't speak to NBA2k, just not my thing. The Ultimate Base Mod was amazing..

Madden steadily got better for well over a decade.. and the NFL has double the popularity, at least, when compared to the other sports. So the expectations will always be astronomical.

I fault EA more for not capitalizing on that. There is no reason whatsoever for Madden being in the state it is in. Period. People still argue Madden 2005 is their best release. That is sad, comical, pathetic, many things, none of them good.

.. as far as MLBtS; I am content. I'm not a diehard, so I don't obsess the way some do. But from 2014-present, I have seen solid steps forward.

Even if it is not released on PC, I still think this is the best sports title on the market presently.

... if it is released on PC, this isn't even a contest. I doubt I would even have time for another sports title, even if Madden was to return to its former glory.
