What happens to DD when the servers gets shut down?

I’ve been enjoying Diamond Dynasty in MLB18 The Show here and there since I got the game mid 2018. It kinda hit me today that the servers for the game won’t be up forever. What happened to it in mlb15 or 16 since I think those games are down now. Do the missions and stuff just become inaccessible?

I think(dont quote me on this) you can still access the game and play the missions and stuff offline, but you will not receive rewards or anything(since i believe rewards and that stuff come from the server side of it). so basically what happens if it just locks up a bunch of the mode.

it's gone forever, but don't despair, that disc will always be good for a season replay when DD decides to abandon you forever

16's not done yet, will be near the end of this month.


E: They're done now. Game update 1.10 notes disabling online play for decommissioning servers, XP/Stubs can still be gained offline.
