So I have something in common with MLB pitchers; I can't get Frank Thomas out...

Playing some of the Moments stuff, trying to unlock a Junior card... have to beat a nerfed DD team.. I literally can't get Thomas out.. 3 homers in 3 games.. 2 of which came on fastballs away that didn't miss their spot.. the other on a vicious Aroldis Chapman slider..

… so I intentionally walk him in my most recent try, because that's what you do when you can't get someone out. Only to give up a 2 run moon shot to the following batter.

I mean.. if I was going to have something in common with a major leaguer, why couldn't it have been Alex Rodriguez, or even better, Derek Jeter :wink:

Every. Friggin'. Time.

That's what kills me, and why it seems like a fix.

Its never, try and get 1 more inning, and you can see a visible decline in the stuff, or you give up 3 strait doubles. Its always that. Out of the blue a pitch misses, and its a light tower shot.

I've never played through a full season, or even a full seasons worth of starts for a pitcher. I'm curious to know how many times I'd have the sense to pull my guy, or how many stellar starts would be wrecked if I pressed the limits with an innings machine like Randy Johnson.

As a closer in extras and you walk the opposing pitcher on 4 pitches, none close to the strike zone.

you know it ain't gonna be a good inning at the plate when your first two batters go down w/o a fight on 2 pitches before getting out. at this point I just want my 3rd batter to see 6 or 7 pitches, even if he gets out also as well too.

....when your opponent comes to plate in the 4th inning. Always a bad luck inning for me, second time through the opponents line up the wheels come off the wagon.

that's an easy fix, start going through their lineup the second time in the 2nd or 3rd inning

You know it's going to be a bad inning......

When your team comes from behind in the top half of the inning. And the very first batter of the bottom half hits a opposite field double on a inside pitch, which your fielder doesn't wanna pick up. And you can see your bullpen giving up four runs in route to the L. All of this in the 1st game of the NLCS.
