Season starts tomorrow..still no patch to add the DH?

Is anyone else surprised they haven’t put out a patch yet to add the DH to exhibition mode? It’s a really easy thing to implement into the game. They already have the DH as an option for Franchise mode.

The reason I’m so surprised they haven’t done that is they always go for realism. It wouldn’t be a good look to let the rest of the year play out without making such an easy tweak to the game.

I think its one of those things where I'm guessing very few people play just exhibition games and therefore its not worth the time to implement the toggling of DH on/off in exhibition mode

They have already stated that further changes to the core game at this point would create more problems.

if anyone wants to play an ''NL exhibition game'' w/DH, go to playoff mode, put your desired exhibition game in the wild card play-in spot, toggle DH ON

Is the 60 game schedule in this years game? Not sure if patched in but would be great

only going to be available in the Play Live section or whatever it's called. wont be in franchise or MTO

Any idea what is the best roster to start this new franchise...I only play 1 season by the way

Will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow with the "Play Now w/Live Rosters" mode. Today is Opening Day of course and the two games scheduled are playable, but for now both games are in NL parks and not set to use the DH. In the past, the day after these games happen IRL the system updated the corresponding games automatically with the lineups and results from that day. I'm curious whether that process will also enable the DH for those updated games - otherwise the lineups are going to be pretty messed up.

As I understand it for this 60 game season we are talking about 30 man rosters and of course no minors. Watched a bit of the Cubs game yesterday. I think it sh oh ws there has been virtually no "Spring Training". This will likely be a year to forget. On the other hand with only a 60 game schedule almost any team can get hot and upset everything.

As I had mentioned in the other post, I am glad they decided not to.

I personally have no interest in playing a short schedule or have a season mode patched in.

They made the right choice by saying they were not going to put it in. Good for them.

I don't think Sony San Diego had a choice because they don't know how to put a short schedule in the game. They don't seem to know much about programming anything the engine isn't built for. Unlike OTTP which did get the 60 game schedule in. I think MLB The Show has a bunch of bad code (broken, patched) like Madden and Sony doesn't know to fix it.

I agree. They knew it would mess up more stuff if they added it.

Can someone answer me if the bug where you start a franchise with 40 man roster changes the lineups for every team daily?

I remember previous years if you remove all players except the 25 from the 40 man roster the lineups will stick

I tried to do that and started a franchise controlling all teams but just wanted to play with my Yankees and it put all players back on the 40 man and my lineups on my roster did not stick and Luis Severino which I had in single A and out of the 40 man was back as starter #2 on the MLB club. How to fix this?
