Did They Ever Patch Back In Ability to have 26 on 40 Man?
I have no interest in roster moves and just want a set roster that won't change when ST ends. I previously could do this by playing Season mode, which was great. When that was removed, I could still accomplish the same thing by only having 25 (now 26) on the 40 man. This year, they removed that. Was that ever restored? I deleted the game when I found out you had to have 40 on the 40 man.Tags: None -

You do not need 40 on the 40 man. You can have a max of 40 as it has always been but that is not a hard number to have.
I can't speak to the lineups and what not changing at the end of spring as I have never had that problem.Funkycorm

No. This was changed with this version. You can try to have only 26, but it auto fills the other positions to get to 40.Comment

What I will say is that I use single team control and not 30 so that may be a difference if you see that and I don't. I also start my first season in spring training and not regular season so that may also make a difference.Funkycorm

If you need 40 players on the 40 man then I broke the game. Only got about 32 on there right now.
If you don't want lineups to change out of spring training you must have lineup and roster moves set to manual. Then, on or before the last day of spring training, send all but your planned 26 man roster down to the minors.
The CPU will not change your lineup if you do those two things.

I just bought the game.
Custom rosters is still a problem. Even with 30 team control and everything set on manual, the computer will change depth charts etc when it transitions from spring training to opening day.
You have to manually send people down during spring training so the computer won't mess with your depth charts if you are using a custom roster.
Or just use the default roster. Then everything is fine and the computer won't change anything.Comment

So sad that the game has been out for 4 and a half months and they haven't fix this issue also there are still fake mangers in Franchise mode.....really shows what mode they focus on.I just bought the game.
