I probably should just roll a franchise with my Tigers. I just generally prefer to be competitive in the first season and it’s tough with them. Mize, Skubal and Manning are fun a few seasons down the line, but kills me to have an average version of Miggy and no real exciting names as far as positional players. Torkelson isn’t a few years out. I could make trades and pick a couple fun guys I like up, but when it’s the Tigers it feels almost too unrealistic the more trades I make.

I've had a couple of franchises where I've "helped out" the Padres to get them out of that horrific Wil Myers contract. Good opportunity to bring back some MLB-Ready-ish guys that could be fun to play with?2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: Who are you using and why?
I'm booting up a Yankees dynasty over the weekend...
I chose the Yankees because I think they're in a heck of a spot with their roster. It's loaded, as we know, but I think there are so many different positional battles due to how much playing time guys like Mike Ford, Miguel Andujar, Tyler Wade, Clint Frazier, and Mike Tauchman have gotten over the last season or two.
It's basically logjam central if no injuries occur, but like we see in real life, injuries are bound to happen eventually. I also think the team really does need a face of it's franchise. Aaron Judge has basically been the face since he landed in NY, but to be honest, the amount of weight he's actually carried compared to others is pretty small. Guys like DJ LeMahieu, Gio Urshella, Luke Voit, and Gleyber Torres have really carried the flag. Don't even get me started on Stanton...13 years and he's probably going to be injured 12 of those combined.
Gerrit Cole pushed the staff from good to great and the bullpen is loaded, so not a ton to worry about there. Tanaka and Paxton's deals are up after this season, so that's interesting, but otherwise the rotation is pretty strong.
As far as the AL East goes, the Red Sox will be competitive for me because I'm keeping Sale in there and I think they can retool a lot faster than people think, despite how 2020's actually gone for them. The Jays are low-key a good team, Baltimore is surprising everyone, and Tampa Bay has probably the most balanced roster in the MLB with actual ALCS potential.
The most historic franchise in all of sports, let's gooooo~ Return of the King ~Comment

Re: Who are you using and why?
I've actually decided to do something a little different with my current franchise. I started a franchise with the Minnesota Twins, but am exclusively playing with the Rochester Redwings. It gives me the ability to develop the future talent for the organization, and has been a really fun experience thus far. I've had some of my top players promoted due to injury or performance, and have also had the opportunity to play with some of the big leaguers during "rehab stints" following their injuries.
If you are struggling to pick a team, or just looking to try something different, I would highly suggest trying a minor league franchise for fun.Comment

What’s everyone’s settings as far as zone/ directional hitting and meter/ classic pitching?

Re: Who are you using and why?
I have a current four year carry over franchise I started way back in 18 with the Oakland A's, my favorite team. I use directional hitting and meter pitching.
I plan on keeping this team going until all of the current roster is retired. Most of my current roster is signed through 2024 or 2025."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: Who are you using and why?
I decided to go with the Giants because I looked through all the rosters and saw that they really have nothing lol. A couple of useful players but besides that Old players, not really much in the farm system.
I have no idea what I’m going to do with them and that’s where I find the fun in it.
I signed Barraclough off FA Just because I needed to do something to make my bullpen serviceable. Besides that, I don’t want to make any unrealistic deals and I don’t think I really have much to offer anyway.
I’m open to suggestions!
So far I started off 6-0, but that’s only because I didn’t play The Show last year and barely any the year before, so I’ve been running dynamic difficulty fresh. It’ll balance out and I’ll get back to my not being able to hit ways lol.
It’s been fun so far.Comment
