Anybody else just use Ohtani as a hitter?
Hey everybody. Got a unique question for everyone. I just finished the 2022 season in my franchise, and at the trade deadline I managed to acquire Shohei Ohtani, who was having a DREADFUL season on the mound. Things didn't get much better in the second half, and he finished the year with a 3-14 record and an era well over 6.00. HOWEVER, he absolutely RAKED with the bat. So, I'm thinking that i should just give up on the whole pitching thing, and make him my starting right fielder next season. I have a few questions about this.
A. will the AI automatically insert him into the starting lineup if he is not in my starting rotation?
B. will the AI force him to DH? Or will it insert him in Right Field if I put some scrub with low ratings out there?
C. to make sure his ratings don't take a hit, I want to sign him to a contract with "depth" as his promised role, so I don't have to put him in the rotation, yeah?
