How do you tag a runner stealing home?
Everytime someone tries to steal home, my catcher just stands there with the ball in his hand without trying to tag the runner and he's called safe. I tried running towards him, but he just runs through him and is safe again. Please help.

I use analog fielding. But I just pull/push the R Stick to the base location....i.e. runner going home...I pull it down..****nner stealing second? I push up.....works great

Have you tried pressing X when the catcher has the ball?

Let us know if that works. Just don’t do what I do every now and then with one out on a squeeze play or force to home and press square. I don’t know why I keep doing that!

Yeah it works. You need to keep holding X untill the tag is applied.

That’s nice to know, thanks! I had a play earlier today with my RTTS catcher where the batter bunted with bases loaded and it was close to home plate so I picked it up and hit X but my catcher was super slow to turn around, and also didn’t even try to tag the runner by swooping his left hand around which would have gotten the out, and possibly even a double play with a throw to 1st. I assume there isn’t an animation for the tag out at home as described so it just defaulted to turning 180 degrees and touching the plate. That was disappointing.

Re: How do you tag a runner stealing home?
Just had this happen in my franchise! I had never seen someone try to steal home on me before..****nners on 2nd and 3rd, and I was so surprised when I saw the runner going to 3rd that I almost threw over with my catcher...thank god I have throw cancelling on hahaha.
But yes, I press x right after (I mean, I pressed a lot of stuff because I just about had a heart attack...I was up 3-2 in the 8th...), and it worked...2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: How do you tag a runner stealing home?
I had the cpu win it on a botched squeeze play. The pitch went way outside so the batter missed it. I didn’t know to push X and the catcher just stood there and he was safe and I lost the game.Follow me on Twitch
