Connected vs disconnected from Internet

I was referring to playing with the internet connect or not having the internet connected. I see what you are saying, so I would say patches in place, just playing while on/off the internet.

It honestly doesnt matter at this point, 20 is a wash for me. Slliders, rosters, nothing plays with consistency except for simming. I dont want to just sim. I want to play, see games. Its absolutely lost this year for me. It has nothing to do with streaks either. If I were to go by gameplay, 4 of my 5 starters would be in the minors and my entire starting 9 would be there as well.

I see what you're saying. I do have some gripes with the game too, especially post-patch. But I have found enjoyment enough to keep playing franchise mode.

Im not knocking any one elses experience. If they found the happy zone of playing, Im glad for them. Ive had other years where Ive been completely happy and others havent. I really believe each individual looks at the game in their own way. I dont fault them or criticize that. This is just my personal input to this years game. No harm, no foul. As much as I would like to just shelf the game, I know I wont because its the only game I play all year, Iteration to iteration. Sometimes you need to vent to see clearly lol.

I have found that for me, playing The Show with internet turned off is a much smoother experience. But I live in an area with very weak internet. I can tell when the game is trying to upload info or connect to the servers, my game will stutter and chug a bit.

This is not bashing the game. I have landed in a spot where I am very happy with this years game. It will probably be the last one I buy for a good bit of time. Unless we see deep franchise improvements.

I am just sharing my experience that yes I get smoother play not connected to the internet.

If you have your console set as the primary PS4 console for your account, you can use digital versions of games while not connected to the internet.

I have the digital copy as well and I have never had any issues running the game offline.

If you have your console set as the primary PS4 console for your account, you can use digital versions of games while not connected to the internet.

Oh ya, I forget about that. Somehow I activate as primary but it never sticks for some reason. So I forget that that fixes that.

Log on to the Playstation website. Open your account and see what systems you have activated. I got hacked years ago and there were like 4 other ps4's that I was logged in on. Clear the list and then try to make your PS'4 the primary.

For the record you can be logged in on 2 different PS4's and play games on them both. But you can only have one Primary. Whomever is logged on to the primary can play any games that are on that console. The second console you can play any games you have downloaded as well but you DO have to be logged onto the PSN. You can have games on any PS4 but you can only be logged on to 2 at a time.

So, may just be a coincidence, but played 2 games disconnected, and I notice around the league scores, hit, etc were lower and played 2 games with scores 1 - 0 in both. Not much for hits for either side, but pitchers weren't stellar either.
