During a franchise, how ofter do you change your player’s appearance to make them look fresh, and what do you change usually?

Personally, I try every month.. to some of my key players.

usually 2-3 times a season. if a guy is on a hot streak i keep things the same if a guy is in a down turn i might switch things up more often. I usually change my home teams stadium music every 2 home stands to a random selection so that doesn't get dry either.

I'll only change things if I see a guy on a new team and something doesn't match up with his new team colors

My pet peeve is player's equipment. I have an equipment list for my player's. I change according to playing home & away. I might try new music from beginning of the game stand point...

if I'm on a tear, I'm not changing anything . I know it's bad luck to be superstitious but if I'm streaking then my guys better not even be changing they're undies. but if a cold spell is brewing, maybe that's a good time to change something, cleats or type unipants. problem is now I don't want to change anything, I seem to recall recently reading editing players during the season will halt they're progression?

I've heard the same, so I only change things in the off season. #'s, bats, colors, etc.

Edit: After thinking about it and looking around, I remember, I don't think it halts the progression/regression. It just hides the visual +/- for the month in the attributes screen.

My players are my creations And unfortunately for me I'm a perfectionist The players look different when they hit the field from when you create them. Some players are lot easier to create depending on their facial features and how those features match up with the face tool.
So to check their appearance I play at least one inning then an in game save and check out how they look on the field and make changes as needed.
