    I’ll start with this one:

Spend a little over asking price to sign players to depth. Exceeding those expectations will result in a morale boost so significant that you will see a noticeable difference in the number of players you keep in a happy or even excellent morale status. I have virtually no malcontents on my team. Of course, this only works as intended by keeping your contract extensions short because player role expectations change automatically over time. You’re really only able able to influence them in this manner for a season.
I deliberately chose the lowest budget team in the NL Central for my carry over rebrand manage mode franchise. I switched from All American to Forbes as my home field because Forbes limits the inordinate home runs in the game in mlbts20. I get ground ball starting pitchers with 80+ stamina and good infielders. Acquired Crawford to play SS.

I also hired a coaching staff with +8 durability and +8 vision. I pay attention to player happiness. When moving a pitcher to a role he isn't happy with I pay a little extra in the offseason to make him happy. Happiness does help with their attributes and a little extra cash to keep them happy is worth it.

I really like the way mlbts20 was developed for franchise mode and because it is so good the lack of carry over franchise for 21 doesn't upset me all that much. It would be fun to build my own ballpark but not enough to throw away my franchise and start all over.

Good thread. Thanks for starting it.

or is higher preferred, like maybe 150 innings

or maybe it's more reasonable to do it based on potential,
say 50 innings for A potential, 100 innings for B potential,
150 innings for C potential and 200 innings for D potential

I would say do it just like how many games for a two way player would be implemented. Makes a whole lotta sense
