Cpu legend offence
Do any of you get competitive games out of the cpu hitters when pitching on legend meter ?Tags: None -
Re: Cpu legend offence
I play on Legend, but use analog pitching. But I get competitive games all the time. Just blew another late inning game twice. Not sure if you are, but I use a slider set which makes it extremely fun. But the one thing in this game I have never been able to do is walks as many batters as the CPU teams do. I force myself to do it and I'm still leading the league in fewest walks (team and individual) by a huge margin. -

All the time.
Sure I get games over the course of 162 game season where I dominate the cpu, but likewise there are games where I get dominated by the cpu and everything in between.
This is meter pitching at default slidersI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Cpu legend offence
I just find they can’t hit. I have a 1.50 era after 10 games. Too small a sample size? It’s way less than the next best ERA of 2.80 ish..
I found the game on day one to have fantastic cpu offence. Since then they have been neutered imo on default legendComment

Re: Cpu legend offence
I would play a min of 30 and that would be bare minimum. Myself, it would probably be half a season before I really start thinking stats are this or that.
For baseball, where streaks and slumps for both teams and players is so pronounced, to conclude that a stat will be constant after only 10 games is really shorting yourself, and in this case, the game.
I'm in Spring Training, and after having back to back games of shutting down the cpu offense, I've now gone 3 straight games where they have put up 3+ runs in the first inning. Its frustrating, but that is the beauty of baseball, you're never as good, or as bad, as your current streak/slump.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Cpu legend offence
Another thing I notice is that they almost exclusively use the contact swing which is killing their offenceComment

Re: Cpu legend offence
I'm on pulse legendary and there are times I think even my settings might be too easy. Then I try playing drunk, or overly tired, or playing as a team I didn't personally meticulously construct, or play one of my minor league games, and I get crushed.

Re: Cpu legend offence
I find they pop up a ton and hit the ball weakly. It’s odd because they use the contact swing even in counts when they shouldn’t.
I swear this is a bug, the game on release day had the best cpu offence they’ve had in years. Looking at the hit feedback they may even use contact hitting exclusively.. might really be a bugComment

I haven’t seen a change in cpu output from release day until now. It’s been consistent with the expected ebbs and flows of a season
