The players have to make themselves available for a face scan. Same reason Jose Abreu doesn't have one.

I don't know if it's a lack of effort on SDS part to go to spring training to scan a bunch of guys (obviously 2020 is an outlier with COVID) or if it's players not wanting to miss potential at bats to earn a roster spot as to why there's such a lack of regular big leaguers who have not been scanned but have been in the MLB for awhile now. I hope with the graphics improvement on the next gen SDS gets a lot more guys to agree to be scanned in.

Idk what year it was, but the first year Blake Swihart had a face scan for the Red Sox I was so pumped to find out he had gotten one because I was always a huge fan and then when I saw it...man that had to of been one of the top 5 worst face scans of any sports game ever. It looked absolutely nothing like him.

I do not think we can address face scans this year because Ramone stated before the season they had hundreds of faces scans (to include players like Shogo and Lux) but they were waiting on "paperwork". Shortly after, the season halted and I am not sure what happened to that "paperwork".

But hopes that they already have a Lowe face scan. There is a mlb page on twitter where it showed people from the The show face scanning a ton of players at spring training this year towards the end of February,

I see the paperwork argument a lot and it confuses me. So are these guys not in the MLBPA even though they are playing in the MLB? Or is this other paperwork outside the union? Because I thought simply the fact they were in the game meant their paperwork was done.

Yea, it really beats me. Players like Lux played last year, definitely have a face scan but werent in the game lol

So no idea what the "paperwork" they were waiting on was but Ramone illicitly stated on his twitter that they had like , I wanna say 200, other players face scanned and they were waiting on "paperwork" that I think the players had to sign. If I understood correctly the players were like stored on the disc. It was like the night before the early release I think. Then like a couple days later the season got postponed and never really heard anything else from him about it. Looks as if he deleted those tweets as well.
