Re: This game actually means a lot to me
Yeah its pretty amazing how much this game mean and how it helps people deal. Most know my story so I wont go in to it again here. But like everybody else this year has been tough. A brutal car accident earlier in the year, a mental breakdown this summer and a, obviously, failed suicide attempt a few weeks ago. The Show helps me thru a lot of rough days.
I have been coming to these forums for a very long time....years, I remember back when you was an admin. I remember Knight roaming the forums. Don’t go down that rabbit hole by yourself, reach out.

Re: This game actually means a lot to me
Wow. Just wow. After reading this my eyes are literally moist. I already felt as though I knew most of you folks from your insightful posts on this and other OS forums but this just blows that away and takes it to a whole new level.
God bless all of you and let’s hope that 2021 is a better year.Comment

Re: This game actually means a lot to me
I hardly post here, but man this thread is the best one I've ever read. I see alot of hard charging survivors whether they're veterans or civilians. I myself am 35, the age where I realize man I'm not getting any younger. I suffer from PTSD from my multiple tours in Afghanistan. Let me tell you playing the Show is a getaway sometimes . It helps me re focus sometimes when I'm not having the best of thoughts. Win or lose for at least 40 min my mind wasn't focused on negativity in the world or PTSD symptoms. I like most of you have a family that I love but sometimes we need a getaway for ourselves. I wish the best for all you guys.

Re: This game actually means a lot to me
Thank you all for sharing the heartache you are going through and the heartfelt support for one another really touches my heart.
I'm so thankful for this beautiful baseball game love creating faces.
I understand pain I took care of my late wife Cyndi for seven years she had a lung transplant and was on dialysis plus many setbacks. The good Lord took her when she was 37. I was like a wounded animal.
I have asbestosis must be a mild case so far have suffered with nocturnal epilepsy had a seizure every night for 10 years then it gradually stopped.
To my fellow veterans and veterans of life God Bless you all. Your in my prayers.

Re: This game actually means a lot to me
I agree and I'd say games, in general, mean a lot to me. I've been waiting quite literally for seven years for Cyberpunk 2077 and with it being just a couple days away I feel the same way I did when I was 12 years old waiting for an anticipated release of a game.Comment

Prayers to all of you going thru a rough time.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: This game actually means a lot to me
I've been coming for over a decade and while I haven't been posting much in the past few months, this game has gotten me through some tough times as well (despite my criticism of it).
I'm 41 and currently going through a very contemptuous divorce. My ex wife has done everything she can to make my life miserable. She tries to use my 9 year old daughter against me and has already gotten me arrested twice for completely fabricated nonsense. This year has been difficult for everyone and even harder for me because of this stuff going on.
Luckily I have a very good lawyer now and I was able to still get 3 days a week for parenting time, plus my relationship with my daughter is incredibly strong and amazing. My daughter is smart and much more like me than her mother so she always comes to me when she has questions with school or problems with friends and we always get through things together. But without this game in the early going, I don't know if I'd have been strong enough to get through this.
I hope everyone here is doing OK and enjoys their holiday season. And please know that despite any pain or struggles you might be going through, you're definitely not alone.
