Idea For Roster Updates on Next-Gen

Here's one I've thought about before, but would like to hear thoughts from others on here.

One roster-related feature that I would love to see on next gen would be an option to download a roster update that only moves players, but maintains any edits that have been done to that player locally. What I mean is that, if you download a roster update from SCEA, that they would only move the players around, be it to a new team, or up and down in the depth chart, etc, but that any attribute or equipment edits that you've made would be maintained.

Currently, roster updates are all or nothing. I don't know if or how what I'm describing is possible, but as someone who loves to tinker with equipment, motions, etc - but not so much on keeping up with accurate rosters, something like this would be a God-send. It could either be an "a or b" when you download roster updates from SCEA or from the user vault. It could simply be a popup whenever you go to download a roster file that asks:
    1: Update roster organization only
2: Update roster organization and player attributes and equipment

Since I assume each player has a unique player ID embedded in the game, it certainly seems in the realm of possibility, no? Thoughts?

It’s a good idea but another way to achieve this would be to import an exported player into an existing franchise.

Remember few years ago they almost released that feature but pull it back at the last minute (Ramone said that in one stream).

I suppose. I’d just like a way to keep rosters up to date, but not lose all of the equipment and stance edits that I (or others) make to the rosters.

I know. A few more efforts on this little feature would be a game changer for franchise players.

          Unfortunately, DD been the focus.

As someone else who's passionate about accurate equipment, stances, etc., I'm fully on board!

Perhaps a simpler way to achieve it would be to have a prompt pop up when you hit save on editing a player. Something that just asks wether you want the changes you just to apply to just the roster file you have open, or if you want the changes to apply to all rosters on your system.

I have been asked for this for 8 years. we never get it.. instead I have to create about 50 service time guys on the side in case I have to use one of those players to create I think Ramone mentioned it in about MLB 14 or 15 on a stream, and it never happened. we were able this year for the first time be able to load in last years rosters. so there is hope it MIGHT go in one day
