I think it would require some changes but not much at this point. All the consoles are very similar.

Remember the PS3 CPU? That thing was different, but the PS4 and the rest in that generation are all very similar.

I'm no expert either, but from what I understand, to port a game from one system to another is not a huge undertaking. I'm sure it's not just hitting copy and paste. It has to optimized for each systems architecture, but I don't think it's like a multiple month process.

If they don't go Xbox this year, a lot of people are gonna be disappointed. I get the Covid thing, and get how it affects companies differently, but if it's not on XBox, I don't think you could blame it on Covid.

But again, I'm not an expert. We have people here who develop games and write code. So if any one who does that sees my post, please feel free to correct anything I said that's wrong.

I also have no confirmation of this, but I heard MS wants it on Xbox this year and have applied some pressure on SDS or whatever the studio is called now, to get it out this year. So we'll see if that factors in.

Personally, I really hope they get it on Xbox this year. I sold my PS4 because I thought I'd be able to get a PS5 by now. I struck out everywhere yesterday when they did drops everywhere. I have an XSX so if it does come out for Xbox, I can wait on the PS5. But if not I will have to get one. I can't not play the Show. But I'd also like to think I will be able to get a PS5 relatively easy by mid-late March or early April.

          Go Browns!

yeah, I've been thinking the same thing since the PS5 released. I sold my PS4 Pro in September 2020. I was going to wait on picking up a PS5 until release month of MLBTS21 on PS5. So I hadn't been too worried about the difficulty in snagging a PS5, however, now I'm started to get a tiny bit nervous that supply may not be easy to snag in April or May or June.

Silver lining, is that I still have my PS4 Slim, so if worse comes to worse I can stay with MLB 20 or pick up 21 for PS4. If this is the case, I'm hoping the SDS follows the example of EA and offers a free upgrade from MLB21 on PS4 to MLB21 on PS5 (but it may be different since the PS5 has already "been available" since November).

So many questions about this years version of the game, especially on next gen consoles! February can't come soon enough! We need those Twitch streams! I love watching the Twitch streams were they dive deep into new features/additions/content of the new game.
