$154 for the game here in Australia you can't be serious!

people in the US want to complain about $70 for a game now. think about other countries like down here we are completely ripped off with this. you can't be serious?? is this Sony's doing or SDS?? this is robbery!

looks like I have to use my US account pay $70 US for the game which will be about $95 Aust instead if I choose to buy the game. no way in hell will I pay $150 for a game!

I would pick it up for you and ship it, but wouldn't that take forever. Not sure if it would save any money? I did it back in the day for a friend in the UK.

That's for the Digital Deluxe Edition which includes both PS4 and PS5

The standard edition for PS4 is $94.95 which seems to be in line with other titles listed on the Australian site.

      Standard PS4 - $94.95
      Standard PS5 - $109.95
      Jackie Robinson Edition (PS4/PS5) - $132.95
      Digital Deluxe Edition (PS4/PS5) - $154.95

Here's the link to view the different options and price points:

yeah I know I meant the ps5 version which would be the one I would buy. $110 for a sporting game though I just can't understand that one.

I don't know what the going rate is for video games in Australia, but from what I saw looking around the store its around similar price points of other games.

Call of Duty is $100 for standard PS4 and $110 for PS4/PS5 combo

                NBA 2k21 PS4/PS5 combo is $110

Demon Souls PS5 Standard is $125 with Deluxe being $155

So judging from the site, the price point of $110 is in the median of price points of other titles.

Well our digital has always been a rip off. I usually buy the physicals copies which are between $69 to $89 while digital would charge $100 but we can only ever buy the digital version for MLB the show here.

I just think a sporting game being $110 is crazy. which it only has a year lifespan. $10 aus doesn't equal the US $10 either.

so a $60 to a $70 is not the same as a $100 to a $110. and the show last year as I said was $85 so it has jumped by $25!!!! just for the standard and the PS4 version has jumped by $10! it suppose to be that pS5 games are expensive now but they are even jumping PS4 copies as well. I don't see the US ps4 copies jumping in price... we are treated like crap here when it comes to game pricing.

It's ok though if I chose to buy the game I will just use my US account pay $70 US which will equal about $92 Aus and save money that way.

I am interested to know how much this is in the UK and Euro stores. anyone know from there?

The PS4 version did jump $10 if last year it was $85, but the PS5 version didn’t increase in price as there was no PS5 version last year to compare price points.

I agree that these prices are high in comparison to USD, but the Show ‘21 isn’t outrageously overpriced as suggested when you compare similar editions to other games on the market.

Regardless of the "standard" prices for comparable games in Australia, it's still ridiculous that a digital version of a game costs that much more than it does in the US.

While it may be ridiculous the premise of the thread was to suggest that SDS/Sony was committing robbery by outrageously overpricing the game which isn’t true when compared to other games within the same market.

Post title should also indicate that this is $154 in Australian dollars not US dollars. If someone isn't paying attention they could be mistaken since both countries use the $ sybmol.

Anyway back to the original post according to the Google currency converter the Jackie Robinson version should only cost around $130 AU$. Does the US have the extra special version as well like it appears Australia does.

Actually $154 dollars equals $117 US

so we are ripped off. here regardless of the dollar difference its always more.

Like I said yes NBA put up the price but even EA didn't do it with FIFA and madden in fact it was a FREE upgrade to the PS5 I know demon souls was compared to this. but this is the sporting market in video games which only have 1 year life span.
