Hopefully, if the season starts on time and the game releases April 20th then maybe missing players can be added in a day 1 patch. Hopefully???

There will be a massive list and this year wil be the worse with no Y2Y saves to export them from previous years

I guess Puig won't make it in as a free agent. and if by some miracle of miracles he happens to make it in, I doubt he'll be the great free agent steal he was in 20. no way he's rated nearly as high as 79 again

That's if they played the year before. Puig never signed last year so he may not be in the game this year.

I have a feeling this year they may let things go a bit cause it was a shorten season and lots of players opted out or didn’t bother to sign with a team. We will see eventually.

That's possible but if he does sign then on the first update he will likely be added. The question then becomes what attributes they will assign him after a year off.

He will only be a ssd created player and ONLY be in the game if he takes a mlb at bat on
2021 no team has signed him yet so not looking likely.

Like o said this years game rosters will be the worst you have ever seen lots of missing 2020 players and with no carry over saves we can’t export them and edit their faces. This years rosters will be a complete utter mess and we can’t fix them ourselves.

Ugh, yeah I always hate how they leave out face-scanned players who didn't play the previous season. They need to at least put them in once they've played a game in the current season and not leave us with the hideous CAPs.

Probably be on the default roster then be removed.. I hear people say if they opted out they should be still in the game though if not we got A LOT o guys that will be missing this year.

usually as far as the rules go the player has to have not played at all the previous year.

NOT been on the 40 man roster
and played a minor league game only.. then that player will not be in the game

we will see Thor and Severino in the game this year because they were on the 40 man on the DL and didn't play a minor league game.. had they have even played just 1 rehab game for example they would be not in the game.

that's how the rules are, it's pretty stupid that guys like Ohtani could go into the game day 1 without 1 innings pitched and we get these minors in the game, but can't get 10 year vets into the game. frustrating.
