The game releases a couple of weeks AFTER the season starts.

The reason the first roster update is normally weeks after is because the game releases a couple of weeks BEFORE the season starts.

The devs won't be on break until after the game releases.

The season starts April 1st. They can see who is appearing, and be prepared prior due to teams setting their 26 man roster before Opening Day, and then release the roster update when the game officially releases on April 20th.

And Puk pitched 3 innings in 2020

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I will be shocked if Class A a real players this year. the only way it will happen is if we do have expanded rosters and Class A you actually play. without any minors played last year I doubt now would be the time they would throw that in.

You are also missing the MPAA rules. it's why years we have had no Wheeler or no Minor. from missing a year of service time off the 40 man. the rules havn't changed they never have face scans for players like this year Parra would be guaranteed not in the game and a CAP update
as for Show 20, we just don't have any way of knowing when Puk & Lux turned in their paperwork. they could have been sitting on it, the furthest thing from their mind with all the craziness of 2020. what's Sony gonna do, call them every couple days hounding them, ''hey, you fill our paperwork out yet?''. 2 days later, ''hey, you fill our paperwork out yet?'' all that's going to do is turn those players off to the Show. when the Studio receives the paperwork you can bet your sweet bippy they're ready to roll with it

This is what I believe will happen as well. A Day 1 patch to add any players who’ve made their debuts.

A.J. Puk baseball reference doesn't say anything about his 2020 stats that he played. are you sure about this?? or are you talking about spring training stats. ?

Hope you are right too, last year was a long wait for the first roster game was out march 13 though (yes I know covid probably delayed them further)

it's Puk's official MLB.com page. it's screwed up. says he pitched at the major league level for Oakland during the 2020 ''season''.

The stats on the MLB profiles default to spring training this time of year, not regular season unfortunately. It just creates confusion.

Yep I always use baseball reference for everything, can get all the info you want and need mlb the “mainstream” info. Fangraths also are great for lineups and depth charts

But yes puk is 50/50 if he be in the game this year. We have had guys that were missing. Before from default rosters in the past long before covid . So anyone that expects 100% perfection out of the box are kidding themselves, people thought that last year aid it was a disaster mess. We had one year where scuba had no service time! It’s not going to. R perfect it’s only gonna have 75% of players (better then 50% on past) So forgive me for negatively I’m keeping expectations low on that so I don’t feel disappointed like last year but by June we will have accurate rosters no fear there !
