How Do I Port Rosters?

Can someone tell me how to port rosters from one version of the MLBTS to another? For example how do I port MLB 14 rosters to MLB 16? This is for the PS3 by the way.

That isn't, nor has it ever been, possible. Even in the entire world of sports games, that has seldom been an option. Consider each year of a sports game as different a piece of software as Photoshop is to Skype. What some games do have (and this hasn't existed for some time either) is the a part of the game designed to read certain types of databases from one game into the database of another. So NCAA Football draft classes were for a while importable into Madden and Road To The Show and The Show Seasons were importable into the next year. But even that is being discontinued by Sony.

This is a great opportunity to highlight just how much work it is when people "make" rosters.
If you've heard other games doing this it's usually in situations where someone has independently developed an actual application to extract and modify a database purely for the fun of helping the community.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I just always seen some posts where they said something like "1990 roster for The Show 16 ported from The Show 14" Sorry for the mix up.

you can move 14 to 15 but not 14 to 16. however you can do 14 to 15 to 16.

in 14 start franchise mode (or season mode) with the roster you want. very important when you start, you MUST have CPU Roster Control ON. bear in my mind you cannot export real players from 14 to 15, only players that are 'fakes'. then from 15, you continue with a carry-over franchise file save (or season mode save). then inside the franchise mode got to CPU roster Control and export to your hearts content. also, this is for players 1x1, not an entire roster set at once. 19 to 20 was the first time we could do that. sure hope it finds it's way into 21 but right now that scenario is bleak
