So your Rtts player now is your CAP in DD as well. Hopefully that doesn't mean restrictions on Rtts like they put on Mto, but when offline modes get tied to DD rewards it usually means taking away customization. Hope not.

Never liked CAP's in DD so I guess I prefer it being an incentive to play Rtts, but if it starts negatively affecting Rtts in order to facilitate DD then that's bad news. Need more details before knowing whether that's a positive or a negative

This is very similar to NBA 2K MyPlayer. In that mode, the progression in attributes take a lot more work to get a higher overall player.

This could be good because in the last few MBTS progression is way too quick and you can be an MVP at the age of 19. Ive tried slowing down progression/promotions and it never works out realistically I almost always get drafted #1 pick and am in AAA by the end of year 1.

The 2 way feature is very cool to see. I don’t know if I will personally look to do that with my RTTS player but I definitely see the excitement about it.

In fairness, you're not exactly "Earning rewards" but porting the player over. They may not have to restrict it too much given that RTTS already locks people into builds/archetypes.

I'm like you though, I never cared for CAPs in DD...it was a boring process to level them up and always felt weird.

Side note, if this is the reason for no carryover saves, then that's a big ooof. (don't think it will be, but at the same time they wouldn't want people starting DD with carried over 99 overall Rtts players)

I'm glad they confirmed this so early on. I was a little apprehensive after I had been excited about the two-way player thing. I was beginning to wonder if it had been a play on words since you can use your RTTS player in DD. Glad that's not the case and finally, after owning every The Show since 06, and always making two separate saves (one pitcher and one hitter), I can finally keep one player to do both, and see how difficult it'll be to win both triple crowns

I'm thinking the no save carryover is due to Xbox starting from scratch? Maybe?

I would guess it's more due to a new gen and wanting to implement big changes to franchise in the next couple of years

Sweet. Two-way player seemed like the most no-brainer feature for RTTS ever. Would also like the ability to be a super-utility type. I want to play ALL TEH POZISHUNS!

^At the very least, I would like individual positions being selectable in editing as opposed to 1B/OF, 2B/3B/SS, etc. archetypes in the era of increasing super-utility and analytics-driven positional flexibility, where some guys like K. Hernandez can play just about anywhere.

I have to be upfront and say that I avoid Moments because I’m not interested in repetitive gameplay and would much rather play the big picture (ie a whole season).

But I will say I’ve read enough about it (and experienced just enough to keep me away) and its deliberate manipulation of either the laws of physics or the laws of effective game design to stick to the modes that offer intrinsic rewards (Franchise, RTTS, Season - RIP, Leagues) and not grind away at my enjoyment of baseball, pun intended.
