Looks very promising. I sure hope that moving the fences back actually affect home run totals. So,e other baseball games have home runs coded to be irrelevant of distance. What I mean is, if the game is coded where you lined up all variables (perfect contact, high player ratings, perfect timing, etc) the game would code to say “home run” regardless of distance so if u had a 460 ft center field like some classic stadiums had, it would be a home run regardless of distance.

I imagine the show doesn’t suffer that problem but with the adjustable fences, I sure hope that doesn’t become a thing.

This is a lot more in depth than I thought it would be. I wonder if there will be a limit to how many you can make, for example, can you make a stadium for every minor league team? Also it would be nice if once you create a stadium you could assign teams that would automatically use it, so you could play in them in RttS.

Not something I see myself ever using unless there is expansion, but looks to be well done and fully fleshed. I'm happy for the people that have wanted this for so long!

I doubt it since creator is next gen only.

The creator might be but if people can play with them in DD (and I'd have to assume, though unconfirmed, online) and we have crossplay across gens, it IS possible that the final stadium data may be translatable into the current gen architecture to actually play games. It may be the creator itself that is problematic and why it couldn't be implemented into current gen.

If that were the case, it IS possible, that a stadium vault would be applicable to current gen as well.

I'll put it this way, it would not at all surprise me if you are correct. However, I do think there is some wiggle room for a little optimism.

Personally, it's no biggie to me one way or the other...but I wouldn't assume anything at this juncture.

I doubt it would get out too of whack. I haven't played many games in Polo Grounds, but have never hit a home run to center or the gaps even on perfect flyballs, so I would imagine created stadiums would be the same if they have weird dimensions

I'm thrilled they don't have restricted dimensions, wall sizes, etc. but that I can literally build the actual park of my dreams.

Couple of things I noticed:

Grass designs are customizable...noticed in the video different designs.

IF dirt could be "selected" so it looks like it can be customized.

I noticed the dirt path to the pitcher in one screenshot.

The runner path next to the 1B/3B lines were different.

I saw bullpens in the foul lines (in the field of dreams stadium). Wonder how much we can build with bullpens both in foul territory and in the OF?

Yes!! Finally glad to see they have finally added Create a Stadium. A feature us diehard MLB The Show players have been asking for years to get into the game!!! Looks like from the video, they have been been working on Create a Stadium quite a while. At least a couple years to get this much personal touch into it!! Can’t wait to have fun making a wide range of stadiums!! Now i need to get lucky and get a
Ps5 in my hands before April 16th!!!

You can even plant freaking trees. Knocked it out of the park for the first year of the feature. It will only improve and add more assets I’m sure.

Anyone asking for this feature should be to the moon. Also I can only imagine the resources this took to put together so not sure how much franchise will change but hopefully some surprises there too.
