Expectations for Ball Player news tomorrow?

How do you all think the new Ball Player (RTTS/DD) dynamic will work?

I feel like it will be a lot like NBA 2K MyPlayer where you can either take your player through an offline career and you can put him into your DD lineup too.

I am curious how it will affect progression (online stat missions?)

Personally, I just hope progression is really slowed down this year. The past couple of MLBTS my RTTS has always been this unrealistic 18 year old Phenom (even with Legend Difficulty and Sliders tuned) that gets called up to AAA in the first year, and MLB by the age of 19.

I hope the DD element will make it more of a grind (much like NBA 2K) so that people don't cheese their way to a 99 OVR DD CAP by week 1.

I hear ya. I've done a couple RTTS careers this year and both times I completely skipped AAA and went straight to the big leagues. Hoping for a more realistic path to the MLB this year.

Skipping AAA isn't unrealistic. Tatis never played a AAA game. Juan Soto either. Obviously last year had some special circumstances but through August 25th there were 141 players that made their MLB debut. 61 never played in AAA. 4 of them had played in the Japan or Korea.

Dang I guess I never realized how often that happens. Anyhow, when it comes to the game, I want to work my way up ya know?

Is there a schedule for the streams? I searched the MLBTS website as well as tried to dig here and couldn’t find anything... I’m assuming its right in front of my face.

I like to do numerous RTTS a year. With it being paired with DD, can I still do that? All I play us DD and RTTS, it would be awesome if I could create a tire roster of RTTS guys in DD. I would have my dream teams. Lol
                FINALLY.

The best players usually skip AAA. AAA is used for a lot of guys who did not dominate AA enough but they like or players who have spent time on the big league level before

Totally depends. When Theo was head of the Cubs he made it a point that the top prospects needed X amount of AB'S at AAA. I think every Cubs prospect coming through the system hit AAA.

easy there, Jimmy. Coach is not somebody you wanna be messing with.
rumour has it he was roommates with Leo the Lip in the minors.

Expectations are always high regarding gameplay -- the Show is awesome in that regard, things like bunting, rundowns, and some animations notwithstanding.

But I hope there's a massive outcry about the deafening silence regarding Franchise Mode.

I will buy the Show. I will play it to death. And I will love it for what it is.

But Franchise Negligence is a reality and SDS should receive some #fixfranchise heat like Madden did.

I don't want to classify it as straight-out & out negligence, but it's definitely been on a diet it never needed be on.
