I'm hoping the Studio wouldn't change ratings drastically based on 2020's 60 game tournament, rather instead I'd be glad if the biggest difference between 20 & 21 would just be having players on the right team with updated contracts, service time, hopefully they'll even finally make options editable this year. I'm not counting on it but I hope the Class-A players on the default roster aren't fake players. I'd also be fine with waiting till after the June draft for major rating shake-ups. consider 2020 and the first half of '21 one full season counting for half the new ratings and a quarter based on 2019 and another quarter based on 2018

I doubt this is happening this year, but it’d be awesome to have rating of 99+ in franchise and not just DD.

99 caps arent limited to Legends in DD, current players have ratings over 99. But once you take them into Franchise, it gets capped at 99.

It would really make the legends stand out in franchise and just add another layer of realism.

Not sure exactly why it hasn’t been implemented yet but I’m hoping it happens soon.

Ke'Bryan Hayes should be an 80. That's all I have to say.

I don't think you're ever going to see this added to franchise. The more high OVR players you have in a franchise roster, the more problematic contracts and team budgets become. It'd be very similar to what happens when people use those custom 'full minors' type rosters that have player potentials inflated. You eventually get to the point where too many players want too much money. So, prospect development gets stifled, good players are left unsigned as FAs, and it becomes far too easy to make trades.

Adding a slew of 95+ OVR players (by virtue of adding 99+ individual ratings) to the player pool is going to exacerbate those issues and skew a ton of the mode's logic.
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I predict I'll be complaining there are too many 99 players and not even one litty-bitty 0 rated player.
whatever happened to fair & balanced?

Who would you make a 0? I would make Mr. Charles Morton a 0, as he is my arch-nemesis (though he does not know this).

Edwin Jackson but not based on the 2020 tournament, I can't see the merit in giving a full grade based on an incomplete assignment. just based on the 2019 season. then again he probably won't even be in 21 since the D'Bags released him in May. so Lewis Brinson maybe in his stead

This reminds me of when they used to tease the top 10 in each position and Mark Reynolds had a big fat 0 for Plate Vision.

Mark Reynolds was a man ahead of his times. If you shifted his career forward 10 years, he'd fit right in.

or he came along 120 years too late.
there was a time when it wasn't the pitchers job to upset the applecart
but instead have batters call for if they wanted a high pitch or a low pitch.
so it isn't Reynolds fault for having so many K's as it was them mean old dirty rotten pitchers

                          lol

I remember reading a spoof article of Bruce Bochy when he was managing the Padres sweating bullets, holding up three fingers and calling for the intentional strikeout with Mark Reynolds at the plate and saying it was a tough decision but with the game on the line he had to call for it. I can't find it anymore, must've been deleted.
