Isn’t that the custom team option? When they were selecting a team, it showed up with a prompt of one of the shoulder buttons. I’ll try to get a screenshot of it.

I'm really excited to build a new stadium in Cleveland for my franchise. Even though Progressive Field is one of the best stadiums in baseball, I think it's time to build a new one with the new team name coming.

I don't endorse this irl. I love the stadium, but it will just be fun to mess with it.

I was hoping they would introduce like a talent pipeline more than just the depth chart thing. Like top 100 prospects that shifts around depending on how the players do. But it could be some licensing issue since the MLB talent pipeline and top 100 prospects falls under MLBAM. I think.

I am excited. There were a lot of little things I saw that got me excited. If you really pay attention, there are a lot of new prospects in this year. Hopefully a step close to ootb full minors. Also noticed on the depth chart that as CJ Abrams got older , they changed his position on the depth chart from SS to LF. That'd be awesome if thats a thing . And these general player rating value changed were the most important change to me. They allow for dynamic things like a team calling up a player to play that is rated lower than the MLB player as opposed to what they used to do which was just use the highest rated player.



It looks like they fixed minor league options as well which was something that plagued the whole logic because teams could like send down veteran players who irl have no options left.

I noticed the CJ Abrams thing too. If they’ve added more positional flexibility to prospects, that would do wonders to franchise. With the way the logic is now, Abrams would just get forever blocked behind Tatis. So if they’ve now included logic to adjust for that, that would be huge.

unless something next week piques my interest in the next gen stream, I am definitely bypassing this years game. No Y2Y saves, no ability to use create a stadium in RttS, legends can’t be added to RttS FA, and so forth. There isn’t a reason for me to pick this game up. Mentioned this before, a lot of us here are no longer the target audience.

Yeah. They made some good improvements here, but its definitely not worth a day one purchase for me.

I know they said they have a stadium vault, but have they said whether or not you can download created stadiums on current gen? That would be the only thing that would get me to even consider buying this year, if not I will wait until maybe Christmas when PS5s are finally available.

Have they discussed anywhere yet that full minors will be in the game? Obviously, there will be prospects, but I feel like they really hyped up FM last year (even though it underdelivered at release) but this year I haven't seen them even mention it.

That is not what I asked. I asked if you can download created stadiums. If you can play guys in diamond dynasty across all platforms, then how is that going to work when you play guys on next gen if they have a created stadium

I also noticed untouchables on the trade screen. Hopefully the CPU designates untouchables on their rosters as well.

Didn't catch this, but that is awesome. Hopefully with the new logic I can tone down some of my 30-team control OCD and let the CPU make some moves.

Yeah I noticed this too. I would guess it is tied to secondary positions. However, it is worth noting that Wander Franco was sort of blocked by Willy Adames at SS for the Rays and was he the starting DH a few years in, so looks like we'll still have some kinda sketchy DH logic. Also noticed Brosseau was moved from the starting 3B to the starting 1B one of the years down the road, so there does seem to be some positional flexibility.

Overall I was really impressed by the logic updates. These were definitely some areas that needed some attention Pumped to see how they work.

Also, Houston was right...."I'm Sold!" lol. Probably gonna finally preorder tonight.

Don't think they've neither confirmed nor denied that last gen won't be able to download stadiums. But have said they can't create them. At least I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere yet. It would be nice if the vault was available to those on last gen at least since they can't make them.
