    Astroturf??

Anybody know if we can create stadiums with astroturf? I watched a couple videos but must have missed it if it was mentioned. Thanks!

    Re: Astroturf??

They flicked through a lot of field types in the game creator on the feature premiere yesterday. But they went through so fast, I couldn't see. Maybe someone could go through it really slow and see if there was a turf option.

Thanks man. I had it on while I was at work so I missed some of the stream. I’ll go back and try to find that part. I’m really hoping we can make old school cookie cutter stadiums(open air/turf).

I don't think we'll see the specific brand '' AstroTurf '' but I'd be surprised if you couldn't put down
a Marlins Field or Globe Life or the Trop or Rogers Centre or Chase Field turf in it's place

Agree, why paying rights for Astroturf for something we can’t feel the difference in a videogame. Any generic artificial turf can do the job.

Question: any AAA-AA team playing on artificial turf ? ( i doubt it to avoid injuries to young prospects )

Not a deal breaker but it would be cool to have all dirt infields as well

I would love the option to have half infield diamond/outter half football lining yard markers like how Madden portrayed the Raiders/A's in preseason and the Marlins/Dolphins in their earlier years. That would be a cool option for field

yeah, it'd be great to return the Rockies to Mile High for a series or even a season also too as well,
or give the Rays a more respectable home @ Raymond James lol

Yeah but having the option for football markers would be epic

I've been playing baseball video games since the 80s, so I remember the days when turf fields were even more common than grass. Even so, they've always seemed so foreign to me, since my MLB and NFL teams have always played on grass. Even when most of their division rivals played on turf.

Even in a video game, playing a baseball game on that kind of surface when the physics are different is an experience that takes an adjustment to. I remember when I would play games in Montreal, I always seemed to get a lot of ground rule doubles because the ball would bounce more.
