Yeah I have it preorder for april 16th but I think I'm going to cancel it. I can wait 4 days to save $85. I'm curious how long this (and off topic but Outriders) stays on gamepass

Wow count me among the shocked. Usually Xbox only has day of release for its studios games. This is awesome! Xbox is truly killing it.

Could be a 1 year thing to just to get interest to in on xbox. Sony could have been looking at preorder sales on xbox and seeing the numbers not being there, and decided to take Microsoft money to cover extra development costs and massively increase game interest. Also as a gamepass user do i spend the $70 i saved on stubbs which i never would have if i purchased the game.

Its crazy! I've done alot of reading up on Gamepass and its profit. Obviously Microsoft is going for the Netflix of games route, they are Microsoft and I think are spending huge money to make it successful.

So I guess I don't need to try to find a PS5 in less than 3 weeks now. I won't be able to play it next gen right away (only have the Xbox One), but that's ok.

Am I the only one who feels this punishes PlayStation users? That's why I'm surprised by this. Perhaps presales were lower than expected and it's a short-term tease to get XBox users hip to the game? Maybe they pull it a month later?

I don't think it punishes Sony users. Xbox has done this with other multiplatform games like Outer Worlds (Which I think is still on Game pass since launch). My guess is that it stays on Game Pass pretty long. Can't remember a game that was only on Game Pass for a short period of time.

It's on Sony to come up with a similar model / service to combat this. I am on XSX, PS5 and Switch and like that they have different reasons to own them all.
