Another follow-up - MLB is available on cloud, how is everyone's experience with that? It would be useful for me on the road if it actually works halfway decently (unlike PS5 Remote Play) anyone with any notes on performance based on bandwidth (up/down) at host/remote site.

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
I just bought an Xbox Series S since I don’t play many games and also got it for $250. Couldn’t pass it up. I have been a Playstation guy since the original PS came out.
What exactly is Game Pass from Xbox? Just a subscription that offers different games every month? I was going to buy The Show but if it is on Game Pass, would that even make sense? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Also, just tested my Sony 3D headset on the Xbox. It works if wired into the controller. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
Think of Game Pass as a Netflix or Disney Plus of gaming. I plan to cancel my MLB preorder because I usually only play the game till August. My expectation is The Show will remain on Game Pass for that duration. The quickest I've seen something pulled is four months.

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
I'll be sticking with PS5 but almost begrudgingly.
XBX has done an amazing job providing great value to its consumers, that game pass is a game changer no pun intended. But I just can't turn my back on exclusives, TLOU 1, TLOU 2, Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, etc. I've had too much fun playing those games (which really feel like an experience) that I'll stick with Sony. But not as excited of a customer as I have been in the past, and not the most enthused.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
Well - I somehow lucked into a XSX yesterday from Wal-Mart, thanks to Wario64 on Twitter, should be here tomorrow. I'm about 95% certain I'm going to keep it and make the switch, between Gamepass and a ton of games I haven't played (I just logged into my XBOX Live account and I last played X360 - NCAA FB 14).
So...I'm wondering if there's a way to try Gamepass for $1 for 3 months intro, then do the XBox Live to Ultimate switch or is that 1 time deal?
Thanks in advance, GT: JonesyASU13Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
Congrats on the Xbox. I was in the same boat, not having an Xbox since 360, and I’m in gaming heaven with the Series X.
I could be wrong, but I think the $1 thing only works on that initial sign up. So if you do the $1 for a month to try it out, I’m not so sure the $1 Gold to Game Pass conversion would work anymore. I could be wrong though? When I got my Series X I just immediately stacked 3 years of Gold to my account and then paid the $1 for Game Pass, and then had 3 years of Game Pass.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
First, I’d say see if there’s any deals out there on XBL Gold. When I did my conversion, I think I got a few years at like $45/50.
Also, I’d say just do whatever you’re comfortable with. If that’s only 1 year then heck just do the 1 year. The value is definitely best when doing all 3 but just do whatever you ultimately want to do. If you have the $ I’d definitely recommend doing 3 but again whatever you feel is right for you, just roll with that.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
Oh, I do have one more question - I travel a bit for work, not as much as pre-COVID, but still roughly 8 weeks a year or so. I used to take my PS4 with me in my carry-on. The PS5 is so massive, that's not happening, so.....with game pass how is it playing on a PC console games? I know they are working on the cloud implementation, but I'm not sure how that carries over.
Keeping in mind, this will be on mostly Hotel Internet, so figure somewhere in the 30mb download, and my home upload is pretty low, probably 15 or so normally.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
I’ve had every PS and Xbox going back to their originals.
I am playing all 3rd party on Xbox S/X at this point due to them having expansion storage and PS5 doesn’t yet.
When that is equal I’ll play anything on Xbox that is on gamepass and then look to see which system it has been reviewed better on.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
I was in the same boat before I thought my PS5. "Wow mlb the show is on Xbox now I dont need to purchase a playstation now for next gen"
I was a previous xbox guy then switched to ps4 with the last few show installments.
Well I bought a ps5 for the simple reason that the controller truly is next gen. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback are enough for me to choose PS5.
I feel the systems are pretty much identical that the controller really differentiates it for me not only for the Show but going forward.
Although Microsoft truly is killing it for their consumers lately. Sony needs to make a splash!Last edited by kman8; 04-12-2021, 11:20 PM.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
Yeah, I've had the XSX for 3 days now and absolutely love it. Just needed something different, I haven't played Forza, GOW, Halo or any of that since X360 days. The Xbox controller I actually like better, but do miss the haptic feedback. Other than that, no regrets, Xbox is user-friendly, and the games look great. Very happy so far with my decision.Comment

Re: PS5 to Xbox Series X Switch?
I made the switch to Xbox in late March. It was so hard trying to acquired the PS5. Gamestop had the Xbox X bundle. I was able to make the purchase. If I was not a MLB the Show Lifer and with them bringing the product to Xbox X as well. It seems like easy transition. I just have to get use to the letters on their control pad, but it also arranged in a shape of a baseball diamond.Comment
