I’m here feenin for my mlb fix playing mlb 20(which is an absolutely a gem on ps5) and really just want mlb 21 already Urgh!

But I’m wondering if anyone tries to search for copies that came out in the wild early?

I'm ready for it to release but I'm not about to stop playing what I already have to be missing anything

when I've stumbled on games earlier than release, they've always never been for sale, and get taken to the back. and I know of no local mom-n-pop stores

Playing 20 as we speak on PS4 (I check my phone during Heidey’s reports) and enjoying it like new. Can’t wait to get a PS5 sometime this year though. Happy with 20 for the whole year if need be.

Not going to lie it feels weird not playing mlb already. I’m happy I pre order the digital deluxe we get it on the 16. Which is sooner then later

Most past games came out in or after the 26th of March

I know I complain about grass and all that but I “think” stadiums have at least been color corrected and even stadiums like San Fran have official Levi’s sponsorships so I’m excited to see the little things too

In early March I already have someone's modified 40 man version of the OS rosters, waiting for Opening Day so I can roughly mirror the (then) 25 man roster for the Giants. Instead I'm still waiting, although rosters should be a little better after the weightless fluff is sent down. Patience is a virtue, as they say.

The only good thing about it is that I still have time to get the last trophy I need for a platinum, the one where you have to score every inning. At the rate I'm going, however, it still won't happen. But I did buy signature MadBum to fill the weak 9th spot in the order, so maybe that'll help.

You should be able to accomplish scoring every inning by playing “vs CPU” on Rookie in DD. I haven’t scored every inning either, but know I’ll never get platinum because I can never bring myself to grind out an MTO run

Yes, I do have almost all 99's in my lineup, but there's always an inning where they can't bang 'em for some reason. It won't be the end of the world if I don't get it, but it would also be platinum #2 if I did (my other was in The Show 15).

Go with an all speed and high drag bunt attribute to bunt and steal the CPU to death.

I'm happy it's "delayed" this year. Lets me enjoy the start of the actual baseball season more. Plus, the launch ratings and rosters might actually mimic real life more closely. In years past, as a Royals fan, we've always had to suffer with either extremely incorrect ratings or a roster with guys who weren't ever making the team out of Spring Training, so hopefully that'll be remedied by the later release this year.

I'm probably more hyped to play The Show this year than in years past JUST because it's not out yet. Builds the baseball excitement even more. I'm not really even interested in playing a baseball game before the college basketball season ends anyway.

If you dont care how "legit" your Plat is: Adjust the sliders to max in your favor and to zero for the CPU. Then use an all-time roster against a AA team. You'll get it in one game. (Yes, this works it's how I did it to get the Plat). You'll hit at least one bomb an inning most likely.

(Oh and make sure you're the visiting team so you can score in the 9th)

I am good with waiting until mid April because it could be a lot longer. We could be waiting until the first week of May. I say patience as we will have it soon enough. I don't see the need to have it aligned perfectly with opening day. If they wanted a few extra weeks to work out the kinks, I say good by me.

With about two weeks to go (and finally being reinstated from my 9+ month furlough from work), I might have to try this or the speed suggestion earlier to get it. Now that I think about it, my The Show 15 platinum was done by driving in seven runs with one guy against a scrub AA team, so I don't know why I hand't thought of it earlier.

Either way, I can't wait for 21 to come out, but it's always weird that even thought it's the "same" every year, I still have to get used to hitting for some reason. Pitching is fine, but it takes me several games before I can hit consistently again. I remember being no-hit by the computer one year, now that was embarrassing.
