When your closer enters the game in a save situation the camera would show them exiting the bullpen from behind the player as they run onto the field. That was absolutely electric! Especially with the entrance music blaring.

Why they ever removed such an amazing presentation animation is beyond me.
Isn't it amazing they remove something so great like that, but the cutscene of the pitcher coming into the game and dropping his glove on the mound is still in there. That's been in the game for at least the past 10 years since I've been playing the game, and it's chosen about 70% of the time in my experience. The first time I saw that in The Show 10 I thought it was really cool, but 10 years later not so much. It may even be longer that it's been in. We will know if it's 11 years in a few days.

There's just so many clips that could be taken out and done so much better to improve the presentation. I know that's not a big focus when they are trying to trim down game times for people who just want to hit X through everything, but I think the devs have already nailed it in removing every piece of presentation for the people playing online or who want speed play. I know they also have their statistics that most people X through the cut aways, pitcher entrances, etc. so they probably think it's a waste of time, but I hope they know that some people wouldn't do that if it was freshened up after all these years. The stadium shots they added last year or the year before were awesome but I wish they would expand on that type of presentation. Show the players in the field on occasion, better pitcher entrances, fans, etc. There's just so much they could do to help the presentation.

I'd like the ability to choose the grass pattern for a given stadium. Have it be an option at the stadium select screen. Small thing that would keep each stadium a little more fresh. Especially now that the code is in the game (somewhat) for Create a Ballpark mode.

AI lineup decisions and bullpen usage. It's well documented in franchise, but it's always bizarre to see teams starting someone out of position, waiving stud prospects to keep veteran chaff, wind up with a position player at catcher in a critical moment late in the game or in extras, or leaving a reliever in well past the point of exhaustion until a sizable lead turns into an absurd blowout.

It comes up in Diamond Dynasty, too, where teams seem to just go down the list in their bullpen in Conquest, rather than calling on their highest rated guys in inherently high-leverage situations. If you go into the 3rd down, you're often facing their long reliever rather than the closer!

You might argue this isn't small, but I think it's so fundamental it should be.

There used to be this awesome feature where we could add custom music. It was cool too cause it already worked on ps5....

A fielding camera angle for Road to the show like Allstar Baseball 2005. Where playing popups and flyballs mattered. https://youtu.be/4hrFRHbldpM?t=724

I watched a little bit of gameplay from a person who was playing the PS4 version on PS5 since PS5 digital didn't work yet, but I didn't watch long enough to see a new pitcher entrance so that's good to hear you saw that in the Tech test. It did look like there were some new stadium shots in what I watched yesterday. I played the tech test but since it was so pitch, swing/take pitch, snap back to pitch, swing/take pitch I stopped after 10 mins. I can't handle that fast play stuff. I feel rushed and that's just not the tempo of baseball. The day they removed slow play and had legit differences in how fast players get set to throw again was not a good day for me (ie. they had Buehrle nailed with how fast he would pitch, while others were slower). Albeit small and most people didn't use slow play, they removed it without saying anything about it. I can't imagine it took up extreme memory. Sounds familiar these past years though...

Anyway, back on topic. It's definitely good to hear they have a new entrance(s). I also saw impressions from CujoMatty saying the same thing.
