Thank you! Looks like they added the Rangers “Texas” Home white and Road grey from the World Series years.... and the Blue Dodger alternate still no Cardinals red jersey...... I like playing Spring training games and like an authentic look...... I don’t understand why the ST jerseys are never in the game..... but thanks a lot this was super helpful

Re: MLB the Show 21 Q&A

I'm sure there is nothing new but it would be great if you could comment on the highlight reel at the end of the game as well as the instant replay camera. Both of these have been "meh" for years and seemed to just be copied and pasted year after year.

I'd love to see camera placement like in MVP 05 where they positioned camera all through the stadium in locations that real broadcasts use. Then when you pick that camera it would pan to follow the ball and not magically float in the air and move around like the weird built-in camera they have now. Don't get me wrong, there should always be an option to manually place a camera wherever a user likes, but I just want some more "true broadcast" angles. I doubt that has changed at all.

Regarding the highlight reel at the end of the game, there is no reason for this to constantly be in slow motion and have so many transitions between every play featured. To boot, it usually has a lot of freezes and stutters as it changes angles that kill the immersion. Just wish this was a little better because I used to like to save them and honestly they are so slow paced they are boring to rewatch.

Appreciate if you can comment on these when you get a chance. I'm looking for little reasons to get 21 over sticking with 20.

Are the records to be broken still the same as it has been for the last upteenth years?

The replay camera is the exact same angles used in the past.

The highlight reel is just clips of the events tgat meant something in game. Honestly its cool but not the best. They aren't "broadcast" angles and a lot of it was a guy hitting the ball then switch to next clip. No context of what the hit was. Was that a single? double? RBI? Just the player swinging making contact, switch to next clip.

As far as reasons to get the game, I know I've played this series less and less over the last few years. Last year I was in the impressions thread before release saying the game felt real samesy and truthfully not feeling it. I don't feel that way even a little bit this year. In fact its killing me to have to work today lol.

Could that have to do with me playing less and barely at all last year? probably. If you played the hell out of 20 could someone feel like not enough has changed? maybe. I would strongly suggest trying the new mechanics. They are game changers for me. I really feel if you like baseball and have liked the show at all you really need to at least give 21 a shot.

Ya probably. Its just funny to me that the same people will talk about how nothing ever changes but call anything new a gimmick.

Its not a gimmick to me. Its a game changer. If I miss the gesture I miss and it makes sense how I miss. If I release the stick before the dot shrinks I have a hanger. Late its in the dirt. Gesture bad left it goes left. I actually walk people now and its my fault.

I was actually a big fan of the gesture based pitching in the MLB2k series which I think ended with 2k12. I was die hard PC gamer and did a lot of modding to the graphics of MLB2k as well. When it ended I had to come over to the show on PS3 which felt like a downgrade graphically back in that era. I've loved it ever since.

So....I think I am going to give 21 a try. I'm starting to think losing SOTS isn't enough to stop me and if the NextGen version doesn't have enough NextGen "sparkle and wow" I can just roll with a ps4 version on my PS5 and get SOTS. Thanks!

I won't know until tonight about the PS5 version but there is a very realistic chance I play the PS4 version instead for SOTS. I'm hoping I'm blown away but the PS4 version is awesome.

Could someone grab a couple pics of Kauffman Stadium? (Or even a short panning video?) Just curious to see what, if any, corrections and updates have been done for 21. Thank you!

I read the FAQ on the Show Nation. SOTS is only available for the PS4. Wait til another time for the newer system's.

I saw a video of player ratings... Dude was scrolling really fast but the AAA and AA rosters looked pretty good, I think... Like I said, dude was scrolling really fast.

I agree, man! I only played the tech test. Will be playing tonight around 11 but I love the new pitching mechanic. There’s a learning curve and it’s definitely a challenge but all the other mechanics were getting stale for me after all these years. Actually looking forward to pitching this year!

My question: Do the minor league rosters look pretty accurate? I read that single A is fictional players but curious if AA and AAA have most of the actual minor leaguers?
