I found something that has made this a whole new world for me and is one of the main reasons I am not switching.

Bacon did this Fictional Roster that is just Glorious. All fictional players throughout the entire league. All with service time and stats. My friend it is like Heaven on a Baseball field. Having absolutely no pre conceived notion of who is who, whether a team is good or bad. You have to actually scout teams and players. Pay attention to what is going on in the league and scouting. It truly is the best it has ever been for me. Just pick a team and team and play because you have no idea what the hell is going on anyway. It has really changed my whole outlook on the game itself.

Now that is interesting, i had read about this roster but didnt really take anything in. A total fictional world could be interesting, something to consider.

Thanks for throwing all these thoughts in, its all helped.

Apologies for the lack of reply - my visits to OS have been fleeting only for a few years now for personal reasons, but for some reason this felt like a good time to get back on the wagon.

Anyway, Bullits post and the logic it contained was enough to convince me - '20 is downloading as i type, and i look forward to trying it tomorrow.

Might even look at sliders, who knows...ive already told myself off for even thinking about that!

I do clearly remember every year getting closer and closer to default, so i would imagine this trend would have continued had i been here for 17/18/19 and '20, so maybe only the tiniest of adjustments would be needed, if any.

Glad to see you back Psycho! You were my go to slider guy for several years. I'm enjoying 21 so far, so I think most of us would like to have you back in the community. Would you consider playing DD at all? I've always been more of a franchise guy, but I do like card collecting, just never really liked playing cheesy players. This year there is more than even single player options for DD which has me really excited.

Anyway glad to have you back and look forward to having you back in a more active role in the community!

Old head considering a Show comeback...

Both ‘20 and ‘21 play a great game on the field but the fielding improvements, especially outfield play makes ‘21 better.

Yes you’ll lose out on SOTS on PS5 (Y2Y saves are irrelevant since you didn’t play ‘20), but the changes to franchise mode albeit under the hood and not numerous, are really showing to be positive changes for the mode going forward.

Either way you can’t go wrong but if the overall goal is to get the best playing game on the field, ‘21 would be my recommendation.

Great to see you back, PB, and hope you enjoy 20. I've played All-Star default (Directional hitting, Classic pitching and Auto field/Manual throw) for the last 3 years and had a blast just playing the game and not worrying about slider adjustments.

If you have any interest in classic rosters, stick with 20.

C
