I am disappointed in RTTS this year. I had been looking forward to playing as a 1B.

I understand the need to cap attributes and then depend on load outs and equipment to get my stats up. But come on. Hearing about the super slow progression or none at AAA. Should have been kept separate from DD. And I don't mind having to use stubs to buy new equipment or loadout perks, but now I can't earn those in game. Or if I do, I earn like 5 stubs per game. I will not spend a penny on stubs but if you want to get better stuff you have to buy stubs because you don't get enough anywhere else.

And as far as the podcasts go. I went in thinking they were this great immersion feature, and I don't like them. I have seen 4 or 5 so far and I have skipped all of them part way through.

I liked they tried to add immersion, but I have better stories in my head. Maybe I haven't watched or heard enough of them.

I hope they don't put these in franchise. Inside the show is already repetitive enough.


May go back to 20 for my RTTS needs and start a new RTTS 1B there.

For everyone doing pitching, are you getting run support? I've pitched 5 games so far 3-2 with a 0.87 ERA. My games have been :

0-1, pulled in 6th
1-0, pulled in 6th
1-0, CG/SHO
1-0, pulled in 7th
2-3, 0-1 when i was pulled in the 5th

I feel like DeGrom out there

Now, I am not saying that progression is not really slow but there is a pretty common bug where the stats stop getting counted for your archetype. When that happens you can't advance to the next level of your chosen archetype which would give you a bigger boost to your important attributes.

Since the system is completely new some people might not be aware that they have a bug and thus think that things are slower than intended.

I am hoping they patch XP only being on default sliders but to mention the Ballplayer thing i like the Ballplayer feature but i think it was just implemented badly and it would be nice to have 4th pitch most pitchers nowadays have more then 3 pitches

Now that I only have 6 hours left until launch, I’m thinking I may just create a player and out him on a random team for player lock. It sucks not progressing on my own, but having to play on default sliders with glitched progressions just doesn’t sound like fun to me.

Yeah, the system seems half baked as it is currently implemented.

This has to be the most frustrating bug ever. If you don't pay attention to your program progress you can play a lot of game without noticing you are not making any progress. I did test that progress through DD mode does work.

In base gains after a game my power ratings are in the 30’s, but in my player card it’s in the 60’s. Which is it?

Progression is definitely slower. I simmed a few seasons and didn’t make it to mlb until I was 29 yrs old. I never saw that in previous years (and I was still just a 62 overall)

60's. Your archetype, perks and equipment will boost your relevant attributes.

Does simming advance the Archetype missions?

So I restarted my RTTS to see if it would fix the program progression....you lose nothing by the way. If you were a 65 ovr with your previous player, you start as a 65 ovr with your new player....so you lose no progress.

Well, progression is still broke even in AA, so it is NOT just a AAA issue....

Hopefully they fix this soon.

That is actually a good article. They are saying they are looking in to making it to where you do NOT have to play DD to progress your RTTS!

Hopefully they truly are listening and it isnt all just lip service....

Here is hoping some of the fixes are sooner rather than later. I refuse to touch the mode again until my stats start counting for my Archetype progression since that is the main way to make your player better.
