Well, it only took 5 seasons, but I finally completed the bronze slugger program!

So now I am a 75 ovr....

Now to work on the gold program!

You know, I actually would love how this worked if my damn stats would just count EVERY time, but right now I would say my stats count about 15% of the time.

Hopefully they patch this ASAP....RTTS isnt as bad as I thought....but FIVE seasons to make 75 OVR is a bit excessive as the game plays NOW. With equipment (have about 40% diamond), I am around a 83-85 ovr.

To give you an idea of how long it took, I have 88 hours of RTTS played to get to a 75 ovr and earn my first silver archetype.

For the first time in over a week, I finally got it to track my RTTS missions for both pitcher and fielder but man it was tedious. I had heard if you go into DD first and do something it will track missions. I went into moments and did 1 of the Huston Street moments and then went to RTTS.

I played a few games and it was tracking my PAs, hits, etc. for sparkplug. After every game though I went back to the club house which slowed everything down because of loading screen but it was tracking so I didnt care. It was my turn in the rotation, picked my pitching archetype before the game and it didn't track anything, so thats still broken.

So, I kept going to clubhouse but now I kept checking the calendar for when my spot in the rotation was due up. When it was my turn to pitch, I went into ballplayer, activated the pitching archetype and went into the game and it tracked my missions.

After pitching, I had to go back to the club house, activate fielding again, then play the next game. Very tedious, a lot of wasted time with loading screens but at least I was getting credit for missions. Then the servers crashed about 9:30pm est and I shut it down.

Still a mess but at least I didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time playing my RTTS player.

My pitcher seems to be stuck at 57 OVR in AA after the first AllStar game.

That’s encouraging. Hopefully we have a patch coming soon to confirm some of these fixes.

Well, I tried the method of going in to Diamond Dynasty before I started my RTTS and it didnt work for me. Hell, I even tried going in to DD before EVERY game and still, I am lucky to progress my program once every 10 games.

Come on SDS, it has now been TWO WEEKS!!!

If this was a glitch with Diamond Dynasty, you bet your *** it would have been fixed LONG ago!

I understand they have bigger issues with the servers, but the people working on bug fixes and server issues should be different people. There is no excuse for this game breaking bug to be in the game TWO WEEKS after launch.

Ultimately, those of us not pumping money in the game to play their preferred mode dont really matter I guess....

The shame of it all is that, as always, The Show is a really solid baseball game experience yet somehow they've managed to break almost everything else about the game. The servers are constantly down at any normal play time, there is next to no progression occurring in Road to the Show and they've really gutted the player options in there (knuckleball/pitch selection, multiple players, you can't even switch loadouts properly) and then anything that I would play in lieu of RTTS while I await fixes is server dependent. I was totally going to dive in to March to October given the server issues for DD and the progression issues for RTTS but I just read that thread and saw what a disaster server outages are there.


I 100% agree with the person above me, the bug team and the server team should be different teams. This release has been compared to Cyberpunk and, having gotten that one out of the gate as well, I will say that it was more playable than this and their development team was much more communicative. It doesn't mean that they ever truly fixed it but at least you knew somebody was working on it.



If you had two diehard players playtest this a lot of these problems would've come to light well before the release. That's all it would've taken but, instead, we have a mess.

I didn't try RTTS yesterday but DD was a mess. I played from 5pm-8:30pm EST and half the conquest games I played didn't track TA progress for innings or give me credit for playing with my ball player in DD games and getting hits. Its pretty frustrating when you are trying to grind stuff out and get about a 50% success rate of mission tracking if your lucky.

Of course, the servers went down at 8:30pm EST like clockwork and their is another server maintenance this morning. I just shut it off after it didn't give me credit for capturing a stronghold in conquest around 8:30

I've tried mighty hard to enjoy RTTS but it brings more frustrations than actual fun. I've gotten into the routine of starting DD just to progress but it just stops at random. Reset after reset with undependable progress breaks my spirits. On top of the random connection drops I just wanna cry. I waited over 10 years for a decent baseball game only to get shafted. Meh...at least it was free.

I tried the DD thing before RTTS twice yesterday and it didn't work. I would say that I'm on the same average as you. It really is like 2 out of every 10 games get progress. I hope they can retroactively fix it since the stats themselves are tracking. I know the devs have a lot on their plate right now, but it would be really nice if they could write something to pull the info from the stats database and apply them to the progress.

Just realized now I haven't touched the game since last Friday, after purchasing this less than 2 weeks ago. Not good.

Also just browsed theshow.com's community forum. It's like 80% of the thread topics are ppl blasting SDS. One common complaint is SDS's silence or lack of communication.

So, stupid question:

I'm using sparkplug for my archtype, thankfully I am progressing, earning stubs etc. I am on level 10, anyone know if it ever changes to silver and gives me more of a boost once I max it out?

I ask cause if I just wasted all that time and other stuff was supposed to happen during that daily grind, then I'm just gonna a start over.
