Re: Stadium Creator Search Thread (Put Your Finished Stadium Info Here)

I've been unable to buy a ps5 so I obviously can't build a stadium but I have seen pictures and videos of created stadiums and I have a question.

Some people are having a problem getting the stands to go up to the wall in foul territory beyond the dugout and get the aisles to line up correctly. Others seem to have figured it out.

For the ones who have it figured out what are you doing to make it work? Trying to pick up tips so I'll be ready to go when I get my ps5.

Taking my sweet sweet time, yelling about 50% of the time out of frustration, and endlessly playing around with different wall combinations.

What I have found to work best, modern field level, off the center run modern field level 3’s til slightly before outfield bend starts.

Once you’ve done that, if you want stands in left field and/or right field start at the straight edges, run modern field 3’s until you get close to where bend starts again.

Once you’ve got that done and want seats around bend, switch to modern field 4’s, match the height to your modern field 3’s that are already placed, then move the 4’s into position slowly account for rotation. Close the gap as evenly as possible (this is where the frustration can come) and once gap is closed bring it all the way close to the wall as you possible can.

Double check the height, and you can look in the back or at the steps for reference on if the are lined up as best as possible front to back.

Note that the turns will never be perfect, and you’ll have to offset the 4’s from the 3’s slightly but you should still be able to make it look even, it just look it won’t against the wall.

Thats the best advice I can really give.

Its just feathering those triggers. I tried the "snap to" feature but found lining up things manually worked for me.

The problem is that lining stands up is also dependent on what you are trying to do for a stadium layout. There arent a bunch of different sizes of stands so sometimes you are forced to make them overlap a bit if you have a tight corner.

I also make sure I have my wall dimensions and placement solidified before I worry about the stands. Once the wall is where its going to be its best to start at the stands behind home plate. Treat that as the base and work your way down the 1st base line and 3rd base line from there.

The part I find funny is if you look closely at the pre-made stadiums that are included, they are for the most part real janky in terms of the stands. Not sure even the guy who made the tool had a lot of success lining it all up lol.

I was gonna ask where you found the small parking lots because I haven't seen them. Then I realized that you sunk parking garages. Very creative!

I completed my version of the new A's stadium. This turned out better than I was expecting. This was fun to build. I had to use the farm patch item to create grass atop the rooftop green space. I used field level stands with suites and placed that atop the upper deck to create the roof space for the park. It would be nice if they offered stadium facade options only instead of only those attached to seating. I used buildings to create a faux-facade. Gotta work with what they give you.

Here's the A's stadium concept for reference. I went my own direction with some things like a pier leading into the stadium.

Stadium Name: Athletics Park at Howard Terminal

            Location: Oakland, CA

            Capacity: 47,535

            ID: RonSolo412

I think the best advice is to get creative with the inevitable open space. There are a number of props to fill the gaps between the field and the stands, or between the stands on the foul line and the outfield seats. Since I started messing around with Stadium Creator, I have definitely noticed how other stadiums use that open space uniquely as well

Neptunus Familiestadion (translation: Family Stadium ) in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Home to the 18-time Honkbal Hoofdklasse champs (Top Dutch professional baseball league) and 9-time European Cup champs, Curaçao Neptunus. The stadium has also played host to a few European and world tournaments, including the 2005 Baseball World Cup

I tried to get a fair amount of the surrounding area accurate since there wasn't much to the park, so here is a link to Family Stadium on Google Earth I used for comparison

Here is some drone footage from an International Tourney in 2017 I also used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYgkBgA32jM

I used minors field level so I could get that little indent area right behind homeplate, but I may revisit this one and try it with plaza/upper deck seating to get the capacity a little closer to real life (which is roughly 2,000 but has been expanded to up to 6,000 for some tournaments).

Anyway, I really find international baseball pretty fascinating, especially the leagues in places where you would not expect baseball to be popular. I may try to make some other international parks, as this was a lot of fun to learn about. It's in the vault under "Neptunus Family Stadium" if anyone is interested. PSN: cbolavirus31
This is great! I started playing there when in 1976. Obviously the stadium wasn't there yet.
Great to see this dutch stadium, you did a really good job on it!
Now, you only have to add Blijdorp and it's perfect

The stadium you posted earlier is the best I've seen when it comes to getting the stands up against the wall. You proved it can be done. It would drive me to distraction to build a stadium for my home field in franchise and have imperfections.

I definitely went a bit ocd because I had to prove to myself I could do it, this stadium took me roughly 12 hours to put together. I appreciate you noticing the effort thank you!

I like how in the premade stadiums you have the people in the first 5 rows just staring at the back of the walls and have zero sightlines onto the field. I'd ask for a refund if I were them.

I've made 3 parks to replace the worst stadiums in baseball.

Oakland, Tampa, and Toronto's stadiums. I included a screenshot from the batters view because I feel that is the most important thing in this game.

Oakland stadium is by far my favorite. The triangular seating in left makes it stand out. It is based on the 2005 stadium proposal by Owner Lewis Wolff. Did what I could with the creators limitations. Added some concessions behind the left field rooftop seating, changed the center field seats to all bleachers, and omitted the thing right of the centerfield building.

                        Based off of this...

                        Stadium name: 66th Avenue Park
                        Capacity: 36249
                        Id: Redreh13

If you download it, make sure it has the listed capacity here. Had a couple accidental downloads.

Tampa's is based on a current proposal by Portman Holdings & Third Lake Partners. I put the palm trees on the suites because they didn't show up very well when lining the road. Also added the stuff in right/center so it wouldn't look so plain. Could easily be edited out if you want.

                        Based off of this...

                        Stadium name: Third Lake Park
                        Capacity: 34753
                        Id: Redreh13

Toronto's is based on absolutely nothing. I just wanted a park where you could hit homers into the plaza and upper decks.

                        Stadium name: Rogers Field
                        Capacity: 34823

Some people are having a problem getting the stands to go up to the wall in foul territory beyond the dugout and get the aisles to line up correctly. Others seem to have figured it out.

I've had good luck with the snapping tool now that I have figured out how it works and now having learned you don't have to wait for it to slowly snap to the place it is going, you can turn the snapping on and the second it even moves just hit the button to advance out of the item and it'll quickly snap into place. It saves so much time knowing that now.

For the seats going down the line, I just used the preset major league park and snapped the stands going down the line as far as I wanted. If you want the concourse and all to line up perfectly with the stands behind the plate, you'll have to deal with the foot or so between those stands and the wall going down the line.

However, in the corners, I did get that as flush as the editor will allow. My process was to get the pole to be around a depth I wanted, then I began using corner pieces to round it to that distance. Once I got them as far into the bend as I wanted I just grabbed the pole and moved it back upfield as far as possible before it clipped and was ineligible. It's literally as far back and as flush as the editor will allow you to get it.

For the outfield stands, they are easy. I just placed the stands in a shape that I wanted my wall, then grabbed each individual node and drug them to clip into the stands a little, the editor allows some clipping before it is ineligible on these stands. This has it to where the stands are literally up against the wall. Placing each node in each curve of the stands ensured the walls were the same exact shape as the stands and there is no awkward space.

You can see in the pictures below how the nodes align with where the angle in the stands is allowing the walls to fit perfectly.

Also, I finally uploaded First Horizon Park to the vault. That is the exact name, so if you search that, it should be there. Daddio M II is my name.
