    Button Accuracy vs Button Throwing?

Where does everyone fall on this one? I've used Button Accuracy since they made it available but the regular button option also seems fine this year. What I'm curious about is if Button Throwing has a hidden pressure-sensitive setting to it much as Classic Pitching does. Does anyone know if they hold the button longer will throws be harder? What determines accuracy and strength here? Is it just the player's stats?

I believe and someone correct me if I’m wrong but longer press equals harder throw and rating determines accuracy.

I tried button accuracy once but even on hardest level once I got the timing down was never making any throwing errors ever. So I use buttons.

Yes, button accuracy is far too easy. The meter works a lot like MLB2K13, but at least 2K13, the green zone size was different based on player ratings, and the size would change based on if you plant your feet or not, so running throws had greater risk or errors. They went all out on copying the pitching mechanic, but should have copied the functionality of the meter as well.

Agreed about Button Accuracy being far too easy, which is unfortunate. MLB 2K had a much better variable meter. Therefore I just go with regular Button Throwing and let the ratings have more of an effect.

They could possibly patch in variable meter of different sized zones if the meter isn't a still graphic (I've never noticed if the green zone size changes based on difficulty, but since there is no specific difficulty for fielding, I'll assume not). They could definitely at least implement meter speed differences based on player ratings.

Hell, I even went to the sliders to see if I could increase throwing errors, and while you can, you can't change the frequency for human errors, only generally...which I suspect only affects the computer (Something else 2K allowed you to do. You could change error frequency of both human and cpu, and it did affect the meter zones).

It'd be great to see them give it some love, along with analog throwing too. It's been like this for a few years so I doubt we'd see a patch address this, but hopefully they can sometime down the road.

This is the first time I've ever played the series. I even tried turning the meter invisible, but I already know the timing to a tee. Yeah, I tried analog too, and it is too easy as well. You need Parkinson's disease to mess that up.

Thanks for the replies guys, did we confirm that the button option actually is pressure sensitive with a roll under the hood?

Didn't want to start a new thread. For '23, is there any way to do button accuracy, but not have the meter present on screen?

Given where you have to release changes, why would you want that? You'd get some crazy errors.

I’ve been using the meter but I am with others. Seems too easy to hit it in green. Not that I never have errors but I feel I’m to good.

Think I’m going to switch back to just button

Then maybe they need to go back to button only having some pressure/timing sensitivity.

Again, but why? "Buttons" is there to be an option where it's just based on player ratings. It'd be pretty lame to mess with that.
