Rtts 21 4th pitch?

Has anyone figured out how to get a 4th pitch?

They made this easier last year or the year before.

I can change one of my 3 in the bullpen, but there isn't an option to add a pitch.

I just got called up to AAA, but last year you could add one before then I think.

Anyone?

I was in the Majors for a month and no option to add a pitch.

I’m guessing it is with progressing the load outs via missions which I couldn’t do because I adjusted sliders.

I didn't mess with any sliders yet, but is that true? If you change sliders, you can't progress? I can understand DD, because that's online based..but for off line?! That's absurd. RIP RTTS. [emoji17]

I think it is either glitched, or tied to relationships, or both.

I had options to change pitches in AA, but as soon as I got called up to AAA, I dont have that.

Maybe something got messed up when they altered how you choose your 3 pitches?

Feel like this is pretty game breaking. I have yet to see any definitive answer as to how we add more pitches to our RTTS pitchers. I refuse to believe we are limited to only 3 pitches for a RTTS character, that would be ridiculous.

My teams high school pitcher back in '02 could throw more pitches than my professional RTTS character? Sigh.

I am in my fourth season (second in the Majors) and still haven't had the ability to add a fourth pitch. I am a 77 overall.

I enjoyed rtts this year when I could change loadouts on the fly, have 1 game pitching, 3b, and dh.

Then I realized loadouts weren't changing, progression wasn't working, and I made it mlb with only 3 pitches.

I'm pausing my play until that stuff is fixed. When that stuff is fixed I will dive back in happily.

SDS has at least acknowledged people being upset by the RTTS changes. So we can hope. For now, I'm just going to enjoy my Franchise and offline Diamond Dynasty.

I would just recommend not being a pitcher for the time being unless you're cool with a three-pitch arsenal. If you're having progression issues, put your character in one DD game, play it, and then go back to RTTS. Should resolve progression issues. Now switching load-outs? Not really sure about that.

One of my issues, is that I didn't realize you could have multiple saves. I started with a SP/1B, then deleted the file, and started a SP/3B.

I think that messed something up, because I quit b4 it gave me an option to be a CP, or RP. In DD, it list me as a RP, and can't play at 3rd.

I have a feeling it messed something up, or it's all just so jacked up and nothing I did broke it.

I think the lack of a 4th and 5th pitch comes from training issues. I was allowed to change pitches for a little bit, then that disappeared. I've also noticed things like hitting drills being in the fielding drills, and I've yet to see an option to boost an attributes cap limit. It seems like those drills got messed up somewhere through 21 development and adding a pitch didn't get stuck in.

My other theory, is that behind the scenes in the coding, you needed to reach a certain threshold for it to kick in. By them needing progression so badly, you just can't get there.

Idk. There is no way having 3 pitches is the way it is meant to be. You have always been able to do that. It may have taken longer (reach MLB,) but it was there.

I think it will be fixed. How quickly will depend on what the issue is I assume.

In DD whatever the ballplayer archtype says you are while not in RTTS is where you will find your player. You can though still play any position. So if you are in ballplayer and the archtype says you should be 1B but you wanna be RF you must place yourself at first then move to the spot you wanna be at.

For pitching, you can’t move if you are a RP into a SP slot but you can simply pick yourself as the SP when the game asks you. It lists all pitchers as options to start the game so you don’t need to be in the SP slot.

I thought at first I understood why the ballplayer menu tells us these “positions” the archtype you picked should be till I was in RTTS. I figured at first it was simply telling you that this combo works best as A. This isn’t true, my combo says I should be a CF at lvl 89 but I currently can play as a SS at lvl 92.

I do enjoy the RTTS and a lot of the new features but it does feel like they just didn’t think everything through and just broke half of it from working the way it should.

I was able to add 4th pitch in RTTS to my pitcher. I am in my 2nd year overall. I’m in my 1st year in Triple A. I have 70 rating in pitching. And also still a 2 way player. I found it in bullpen training.

So it is there. Maybe a patch??? Dunno.
