Missing Franchise Feature - Budget Feature Shortcut

The ability to PAY SDS buy purchasing stubs to increase budget is missing/was removed.

Running a franchise with my Indians and their $77M budget makes it impossible to long-term sign more than a couple players.

Can I go in to edit the player in roster control and change the contract terms?

What are the odds omission this is fixed?... this was free money for SDS!

You can add sponsorships which will add funds.

as @tabarnes19 said, i find this idea better than just buying with stubs.

Mikey had this bright idea to use different sponsors type to recreate an estimated budget based on teams market and estimated team stats (win, DP, hit) . Here’s the first 4 in the list. For the full list check Armor’s sliders thread... last page (first post).

      ——————————
Mikeyo918’s 30 Team Control Sponsership Method and Approach

WILL ONLY WORK WITH 30 TEAM CONTROL

      1. NYY - Earnings 12 MIL (all diamonds for sponsor)
      In game ticker - 25K/game, Active replay - 2.5K/hit, Walk up - 40K/win

      2. LAD - Earnings 12.1 MIL (all diamonds for sponsor)
      In game ticker - 25k/game, Active replay - 2.5K/hit, Walk up - 40K/win

      3. BOS - Earnings 7.5 MIL (all diamonds for sponsor)
      In game ticker - 25K/game, Walk up - 2.5K/hit

      4. CHC - Earnings 8.6 MIL (all diamonds for sponsor)
      In game ticker - 25K/game, Walk up - 3.5K/strikeout

Thank you for all for the recommendations. Even with that sponsorship approach, the Indians budget would move from roughly $77M to $81M... or 4-5 players on a playoff contender.

The Indians have no players under contract past next year, are looking at a rebrand, and their lease is up in 2023..... Hmmmm, are they possibly one the move IRL?

I don't play with budgets on. Salaries are crazy in baseball , so why have Them on? In 20 I wanted Pujols to finish his last season with my Cardinals, I wanted to have him retire as Cardinal, but I could not trade for him because he was making too much in his last year.. so any trade was denied due to salary restraints

Maybe I am missing something. You can...turn budgets off in this mode. Is this genuinely a complaint about not being able to pay real MONEY to SDS/Sony for stubs in FRANCHISE mode?? Again, unless I am missing something obvious, my mind is absolutely blown lol.

The issue is not turning budgets on or off (I k ow this is an option)... it’s having a little more wiggle room while enjoying the strategy of who to sign.

they had an owners mode in prev games where you could sell tickets, and jerseys to help raise revenue, wonder why they took it out :/

Tbh, I've always made a few useless d potential 30 year old have giant one year deals, so you can release them and increase that teams budget space in the following years. It works well for big budget teams whos starting payroll is lower than their real life payroll potential

So as far as the Indians, with 3 diamond sponsorships, I have had the budget at the end of the year to $125M plus income sharing minus the staff expenses and what not, and they have had just around $100M to spend. I have simmed 6 years in and had zero budget problems with them.

It's not perfect and I miss the days when I could deposit stubs into franchise funds in September and get a lot of extra in game income that off season, but it's completely doable.

I used my 10k stubs from preorder and sold the high stub cards I got from my preorder packs and ended with 35k stubs. I spent about 10k stubs on 3 reasonably priced diamond sponsorships.

I find the best 3 are the $ per game, $ per hit, and $ per run. I avoid the saves one and double play one. They are more money but generate less income.

Awesome advice!!! I just did the same thing early today. Got 2 diamond per game and 1 per win. Should get around an extra $10M per year.

                        Thanks again.
