Question regarding last Gen / Current Gen

Question from my Nephew...

This may have been answered already .. but , "I got MLB the show MVP edition for ps4. I have a downloadable code for add ons. My question is, can that code be used to redeem the add ons and then used again when I get a ps5? Also, will my add ons transfer from ps4 to ps5?"

My Nephew has the Playstation .. I have it on Xbox ... so I would ask the same question as well.

Also... I am currently playing on My Xbox One X.
Once I get my Series X and I have The Show on that , will I have to start over with Everything.
I bought JR ($99) Digital version

From my understanding, all of your codes that you redeemed for last gen carry over to next gen provided you are using the same Gamertag/account.
