To those who say the game is to dark at night (please read)

So if you play on an OLED, regardless of the model please note that the dark in night games is due to ABL (Auto brightness limiter) that OLED tvs have to reduce the wear on the pixel structure that comes from organic pixel drive

The ABL kicks in at night with HDR ON when you have a field like say Fenway park and the bright lights in the top of the green monster is super bright but that window on the screen and other lights around the park are maxing out the HDR brightness in 10% windows which kicks in the ABL.

This also happens in QLED tvs but not to such extend as OLED due to them being brighter.

This is not a game issue as SSD can make it brighter but ABL will dim the image.

For example, I play on an oled cx and have Dynamic Tone mapping ON which makes the image brighter. If I put DTM off it would dim the picture but at night in games with the bright stadium lights on like around the 7th 8th and 9th innings turning off DTM actually makes the screen brighter over Dynamic Tone Mapping ON that usually brightness the image. This is just ABL doing its dirty trick and dimming the brightness to not cause burn in on those windows of high brightness like the stadium lights.

Go test it if you have an OLED and turn off DTM at night during those late innings and you will see that it actually gets brighter during hitting but when pitching DTM must be turned back on to get the nice brightness over OFF.

Please use the thread discussing the dark lighting. Don’t need a new one.
