I have my TV settings on game but the grass looks just awful and flat. I was expecting some type of a leap as far as the look of the grass this year, What happened ??

At these in between shots the grass looks absolutely beautiful. Now if they could only have this level of detail while batting/pitching. I hoped the PS5 would make this possible. Maybe next year...

Yep...they had the extra time and I was really expecting this kind of upgrade along with body/uniform updates...even crowds/unis. Again...I think Xbox just took priority. Xbox is a big thing so I get it. But it doesn't make a PS5 purchaser feel any better. I paid premium for PS5 to get the next gen (only reason I own PS5) so yeah I'm a little bitter. That said, the gameplay is best ever!Comment

You would think they would put some effort into maximizing the resolution and look of grass and dirt, the most noticeable thing in a giant baseball field.

That PS3 video you linked is a 4k PC mod of the game being ran on an emulator. Nice try though.

It's not modding anything, just emulating. The textures are still whatever was developed originally. I can post other PS3 era videos demonstrating the same thing.

Fifa 21 is a good example of higher resolution texturing even at the zoomed out distances of real gameplay. Not that i think fifa is good in actual gameplay, but they at least get the play field looking stellar.
