FWIW, if we were treating this as an actual thing:

EA just got done with a dismissed court case over DDA that stretched out for a while. All other sports games were aware this was happening and would be legitimately insane to include it in any version of their game (especially having denied it so many times).

Also - Bullit, please don't call me elite. Maybe toxic sometimes, but let's not act like this isn't a YEARLY thing that gets brought up here by the same small group and is vehemently denied by SDS (and every other game dev that is questioned). EA legit just gave their code to a third party to investigate and nothing was found.

Also - not acting as a mod here so say what you wish. Just still have the role assigned for tech reasons (and I hold Chase and Steve's darkest secrets for ransom).

I only came back here because we were laughing at the fact that the SAME person brought it up again, as he always does. Opinion are and always have been fine. False claims? Nah - I don't deal with that.

Why do you guys keep saying he doesn't belong on Legend? The last 4 or 5 posts I've seen of his have all been about him winning on that difficulty and being upset with how it happened.

Your posts would make sense if he was losing and complaining, but that hasn't been the case. It just comes off as attacking him because you disagree with him.

I'm not saying I believe comeback code is in the game, but the replies in this annual thread are never any better than the original post.

And his proof, every year, is that fielders occasionally commit errors and a trailing team occasionally comes back to win a game late. That is not an argument worth entertaining.

Not saying I believe in the comeback code or not (I only play RttS) but there was an option for it in '08 or '09. I forget what game it was in. I wish I took a screenshot of it when I saw it back then.

You’re right. I will now begin my journey of self-reflection.

In the meantime, Pad can at some point realize that every game increases the bull**** on higher difficulties to make them more difficult. Perhaps it’s too much in The Show, but there aren’t widespread reports of it which leads me to think it’s not too much and that it’s more of an individual issue.

If he’s seeing a higher amount of bull**** than he would like, he can and should lower the difficulty level to one more manageable for his play style.

Or he could have just been posting his observations and wondering what others have seen in this regard. Not really sure why all the negative attacks but then sadly this seems to be the norm nowadays.

Yah, I agree with what some others are saying, and wonder why you still buy the game every year. I don't believe in comeback code. Things do happen that make me scratch my head, like that squeeze play you posted.

I mean this sincerely and not jokingly or rude, but it almost seems like you're a masochist and enjoy the frustrations this game gives you. I mean, with you buying it every year.

I have a question. I don't user the controller. I'm 100% manage mode. I do see more home runs late in games from the team that is behind.

To counteract this I switched to Forbes as my home field but that cause other problems with far too many low scoring games and my hitters' attributes regressing.

If I ever get a ps5 I would build a stadium pitcher friendly but not extreme like Forbes.
My question is this - is there such a thing as power swing? I never believed in comeback code but I do suspect late in games the cpu is programmed to swing for the fences when trailing.
